everyone is entitled to express their views or keep them private. So many people in America have been quietly supporting Trump. Obvious as Trump won the popular vote. The media just made up lies about him and if you are actually in America you would’ve seen that support growing months ago.
All the silenced voices, rich, powerful, poor,
Struggling, will start coming out over the next year in support of Trump.
they can pick and choose the time and place to express their views
you can be having a great time with family , friends . acquaintances, co-workers etc. with everyone getting along and having fun.
and then someone will say the word "Trump" in either a positive or negative context
I immediately think 'oh boy, ' this is going to get someone pissed off and spoil the fun time'
heated arguments with family friends is not always fun and sadly some people go absolutely berserk when challenged on their views of Trump (pro and Con)
you can put relationships at risk, just for expressing your opinion. that's not good
some relationships are solid enough to know you can disagree and still maintain their trust and respect
In a professional work environment like it or not your judgement is always being evaluated
sometimes its best to keep your views private
sometimes you need to speak up
This also applies to the climate change debate
Post election, stating the obvious "Trump won the popular vote' is non controversial, and not 'them's are fighting words "
its also almost universally accepted he can be mean-spirited, nasty vindictive and unpredictable
it should be accepted that the electorate was far more concerned about the direction the democrats were going than concerned about Trump. Again a factually correct statement as per the election results
a lot more people are also realizing they have been intentionally mislead on the climate change issue and the activists are impractical nutjobs
far less risk of starting a fight with that statement than a few years ago
