McDonalds no question. Swiss Chalet fries are usually good if you eat in, but I had a takeout Swiss Chalet fries last week and they were all burnt and overcooked. Horrible! At least you always get the same quality fries at McD's.

McDonald's fries used to be good... like 20 years ago... not anymore. I rarely eat fast food of any kind, but on those rare occasions, I "may" have a 1/4 chicken dinner from Swiss Chalet, so I guess my answer is Swiss Chalet.

apples and oranges... you can't really compare. For me, McD's are for take out, crispy and salty. Chalet fries are best eaten in, covered with the bbq sauce.

I agree that Wendy's fries suck. Wonder why they haven't figured that out yet.

Ever since they changed the oil the fries have sucked at Mc D's.

I prefer swiss chalet dine in fries rather than takeout which are too soft by the time I get home to eat them
don't you just dunk them in the , ''extra'' ,
large chalet sauce anyway ?

I agree 100% on both counts. The new McD's fries give me a 50/50 chance now of having to run to the toilet!

McDonalds fries arent technically fries. They are a simulated potato-like product.
... not 100% potato, possibly. But man, they taste so good. The distinct smell simply gets me drooling, not kidding.

McDee all the way.

I have had very good and very bad fries at all of these places.
When they are very good, I like Swiss Chalet but you have to have the sauce.
When they are bad, McD are probably the most consistent and never really bad like the others can be.

Overall, Swiss Chalet. McDonald's is okay, and much more consistent. But, when I dine in and Swiss Chalet, the fries are great. Take out, not so much. Fries get cold very quick.

Agreed. Swiss Chalet has the better fries although I have been told that Taco Bell has good fries. I have never tried them though.

Myself, I like Swiss Chalet fries, but they do not travel well, so I have them in the restaurant, but the baked potato for delivery. Or, sometimes the rice.

Macdonald's fries are only the delivery device for the ketchup.
