Conspiracy theories abound when bad shit happens. It's why a lot of people fell for the 9/11 was an inside job. Just because a private company is producing this doesn't mean we will all be forced to get a chip implant. Plus, I read about people that got RFID chips implanted so they didn't need to carry a security card to open doors to their buildings.

On top of all of that, do you realize how many different companies are tracking you at this very moment? Do you use a credit, debit card or loyalty cards? Do you use most search engines or have a smartphone? Plus not to mention the growing number of CCTVs across buildings and public spaces.

Now, in your line of work, you probably get a lot of cash. But I'd say a huge number of people pay for things using bank cards (credit or debit). In fact, because of the pandemic, a number of places are not accepting cash. So, we've been progressively moving towards a cashless society for a number of years, even before COVID.

None of this is new. Ontario is working to allow you to put your vehicle registration and insurance info on your smartphone. It's just a matter of time before they'll allow your license or health card.

You may be worried we're headed towards a surveillance state....but we're already in one.

And people freaked out about that when it happened 4-5 years ago. (And weird body hackers were implanting stuff under their skin since before that by at least a half-dozen years.)
