Seems he got cut a break. Despite a lengthy criminal history which included trying to run down a police officer with his car. He was released by a progressive DA on $1000 bail on Nov 11. All in the name of racial equality.

If I'm choosing between the account of LE and the account of a freaked-out casual bystander, I'm going with LE.

Read through the article. He tried to escape into a neighbouring building. More consistent with a fleeing felon than a political killer. In the latter case, he'd go down firing at the cops.

I heard a local reporter being interviewed on 1010 about this. The theory is he facing serious jail time, and yes, he was fleeing a crime scene. It was bad timing that a Christmas parade was in the middle of the escape route he chose, and fucking asshole move that he drove through it like that. He is a POS either way.
