Sushi Restaurants

I'm in love with sushi, it's hands down the best food I've ever had, and I've tried many different types of ethnic food.

Salmon and butterfish sushi and sashimi are amazing, I also love those salmon roses, sushi pizza, red dragon rolls, rainbow rolls, alaska rolls, and so on. What are your favourite sushi restaurants?

& Hiro Sushi 171 King Street East.

It's not something I go out to eat often but I do sometimes!

Any ideas where I can find this sushi meal?

it's really all subjective but I can definitely say that Blowfish sushi on Bay street is TERRIBLE! yuck! anyone who eats at this place should have their brain examined!

I've been to Wakame, it's really good, I like trying different all you can eat places. My all time favourite is Hockey Sushi followed by Kenkou Sushi at Bayview/Steeles.

Hinote in Mississauga, one of the best places to eat sushi. It is a bit more expensive but definitely worth it.

I stay away from "White Tuna" or "Butterfish" because you can't be certain it's not Escolar.

It's in richmond hill / vaughan, not late night. Ballpark is around 20 bucks. Damn good sushi. Best i've had for 20 bucks.

I had dinner last night at Yamato, in Yorkville. It's the best Japanese restaurant that I've experienced in this city. The chirashi sushi had a nice variety of fish, rather than the usual 85% salmon you find at other places.

Ema Tai on St. Patrick and north of Queen. It is "authentic" (at least as far as I know as I have never been to Japan). But the wait staff and chefs speak Japanese and they get tour buses of Japanese people attending there. Most importantly, the food is really good.

Agreed.

Kaji is THEE best place in Toronto for Sushi. (Was there last week actually.)

But if you think that sushi is rolls and shit like that that - you won't like Kaji. Kaji is hardcore authentic Japanese sushi and it is not for the faint of wallet.

I know where this is! I've passed by many times.......I'll have to give it a go. I bet 40 or 50 years ago very few had even heard of sushi let alone eat raw fish!
