I totally agree that Janu wanted out and wouldn't have won. Heck, she might have been the next to go. But Probst's interference affected a lot more than Janu's chances of winning; it affected other players' game plans. The people who were going to vote Stef off were doing so b/c she was a threat and they wanted her gone sooner rather than later. Keeping deadweight (Janu) around is a valid strategy that has been used before in the game. If Janu wanted to quit, she could have come out and said so at any time prior to tribal council. The only reason she quit when she did was b/c Probst harranged her to the point of giving up b/c the show didn't want to lose Stef. Up until Janu, everyone who has quit in the Survivor series did so of their own accord without outside interference (remember the black guy who gave up? Probst scolded the guy for being such a wimp; he didn't encourage him to quit like he did with Janu).
Now from the previews, guess what? Stef tries to unite all the women against the guys next week, potentially changing the dynamics of the game altogether. And who do we have to thank for that? Not Stef. Not Janu. But Probst, who single-handedly changed the results of the game.
To be clear, I don't care who wins. I'd love to see Stef win just b/c of what she went through with her other tribe and her passion for the game. But I can't stand the fact that an outside observer influenced the results of the tribal council to the point that how people were going to vote didn't even matter. If Stef wins (which I don't think she will), all I'll remember is that Probst set it up for her to do so and she should split the cash with him, IMHO.
Make no mistake, Probst got Janu to quit not b/c her heart wasn't in the game; it was so that Stef wouldn't get voted off. And THAT, I have a REAL problem with...
