So I did click the sign me on when ever I log on box and I'm here straight away. What I want to know is how do I make it so I have to log on each time. Afraid My SO will get to terb somehow and be logged on automatically. Tell me how to shut it off. Please
Goalie000 just click logout every time and uncheck the remember me
this wont help with your history though
and it also wont help if you use Goalie000 elsewhere online - think about it; if your s.o. stumbles onto the site in your history or something and wants to see if this was an idle surfing find or a regular thing and you use goalie000 for every other random online acct you have whats the first thing the s.o. is going to try and hope autocomplete gives you away? ;)
also even w/o autocomplete turned on (which can be a pain in the @$$ for your other s.o. safe surfing) if you use Goalie000 with your regular password the s.o. might still give it a try
best bet to avoid history and autocomplete and all that is to download a seperate browser and dont keep it on the desktop, for instance:
- firefox
- opera
- maxthon
- avant
- seamonkey
- k-meleon
- galeon
- camino
check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_browsers for an insane list of pretty much all of them
enjoy!

If your s.o. is 'giving things a try' to snoop on you, then you should reconsider your relationship! I don't mean to be so harsh, but I guess it's hard for me to understand relationships that don't have 100% trust and honesty.

I used terb at an internet cafe while in Dublin a couple of summers ago. A couple of pretty hot Irish babes were at the terminal beside me and noticed the banners. I ended up telling them its my business, they just smiled...dont think they believed my story, lol. But I did make sure I logged off.
Some i-cafes block Terb banner for Adult contents.

While most hotel computers in biz centers don't. Take a look around for closed-circuit cameras thou. At one Italian hotel, the late night reception guy had the cctv shoulder-surf on guest watching porn.

agreed - its not a worry of mine -- personally single - but im just educating him -- he sounds pretty paranoid to begin with so im just giving him all the facts and the logical reasoning that follows from what hes already mentioned and what the possible outcomes might be -- again i am being overly paranoid and untrusting in my post on purpose

Haha, well if his SO doesn't know about his terb surfing then I'm betting the relationship already has less than 100% honesty.... like the SO probably doesn't know that he's sleeping with escorts.

....which is fine. It's easy to understand, really.

I guess that means 80% of terb members need to reconsider their relationships.

If you are in a relationship where you or your partner is snooping around in the other's computer files or phone bills, mail, whatever... then HELL YES! you need to reconsider your relationship. This is simple privacy invasion, full stop. It's simply unacceptable.

yes, I have logged out a few TERBies at internet cafes downtown.
Before you use a public terminal always check to make sure the option to "clear cookies" is enabled. Some cafes have "Tools>Internet Options" disabled.
If you don't clear cookies sometimes the next user to access the site will be automatically logged into your account.

As opposed to ...say...boffing escorts - would that be acceptable?

Your place!!
Just to clarify something, SO is not snooping around (as far as I know) but we do use the same computer at home, so it's possible for her to stumble upon the site accidentally, and would be logged on automatically if the right buttons are hit, correct? Just want to be able to log on each visit instead of going straight there. I do wipe out history and temporary files visited after each session online.

If you must surf Terb at an Internet Cafe, go to one that uses Firefox, and one that has user accounts that you log out of (a new place at Yonge & Gerrard has that).

Firefox has a Clear Private Data function that clears out your history so nobody coming in behind you can view what you were doing.
