They have to hold their office during good behaviour. And the Supreme Court is distinct from whatever inferior courts.

Yeah, the easiest thing is to fuck with the numbers. Like appointing all the Circuit Appeal Court judges "Associate Justices of the USSC". Or something like that. And then you'd have to figure out how to sub in those judges for the current idiots.
You still need consent of the Senate to put someone on the court.
But yes, Congress could just make it 81 judges if they wanted, with groups of 9 appointed at random to hear specific cases.

Liberals and Dems listen up. You are half of the population of US & Canada. Thats 215 million pple. If climate armageddon is coming, you should Lead by example.

Stop buying oil & gas. Stop buying petroleum products. No more plastic products, like Toothbrushes, clothes, bicycle tires, condoms,

If you true believers really believe; Lead by example. You’ll never get the other side to follow you if you don’t Lead by example.

It was signed into law by nixon in 1970. Voters can effect it via which executive wins..
Apparently the decision says legislature has to approve its decisions..
Seems capricious in that every USA government agency would need congressional approval for whatever it did.
Seems the idea of returning the power to the people is erratic in this court. Allowing state legislators to decide on abortion is indirect power to people. If they really believed in power to the people, they'd let women make their own decisions on abortion. So the power to the people is a ruse.

It's not capricious, the EPA is making decisions that have lasting influence on the WHOLE country using the taxpayers ' money.

No.
I'm a mindful ideologue. It takes a lot more effort and you should try it some time.
Given who you're siding with, claiming to love democracy is a bad play moving forward.
They are going to stop even pretending they think democracy is a good thing in not too long.
To be fair, as long as you show yourself to be a good little follower like you are, you won't be punished for having said you like democracy in the past.
Consistency isn't important, just submission.
You hate democracy, you're afraid of democracy, you instinctively dread when people's rights are strengthen and affirmed. Hence, you have no problem with wannabe fascists like Justin . And thank goodness America still has checks and balances.

Umm, you're still backing a guy who attempted a coup with groups of white supremacists because he lost the vote.
And you call Trudeau a wanna be fascist?

How does that even make sense in your mind?

You don't understand how administrative agencies work. EVERY administrative agency has power delegated to it by Congress (or state legislatures) via statutes which delegate power to the agency and set out some ground rules for the agency to operate. There are literally 100's of these statutes in each jurisdiction. Without this set-up, nothing gets done and we go back to the early 1800's in our government apparatus.

The USSC is simply selecting which agencies it dislikes and then fucking them up, so they cannot operate.

The decision is that any decision the Court disagrees with has to be sent back to the legislature until the legislature agrees with the court.
Anything that they feel is a "major question" they can overrule what the legislature decided.

Seems the idea of returning the power to the people is erratic in this court. Allowing state legislators to decide on abortion is indirect power to people. If they really believed in power to the people, they'd let women make their own decisions on abortion. So the power to the people is a ruse.
They have no interest in "returning power to the people".
Things will be assigned to the level of government that will give them the results they want.
If that's the states, that's the states.
If that's the Federal Government, it is the Federal Government.

Having someone like you rant that I "hate democracy" is probably the best outside reinforcement that I am on the side of democracy I could get.
Thank you.

I'm pretty sure they delegated authority in the 1800s as well.
