New Orleans 34
San Diego 28

In the most melodramatic and wishywashy feelgood story of the year all American media declare New Orleans to be fully recovered from Hurricane Katrina because the Saints win Superbowl! (even though most of the population are still homeless and can't even afford a nosebleed ticket).

New England Patriots Dynasty....

If New England ends up beating the well rested 14-2 Chargers and their MVP Ladainian Tomlinson then the sheer monmentum of that victory should be enough to carry them against Indy or Baltimore as well as the NFC representative. Baltimore might have a superior defence but McNair is no Brady. Manning is a great Hall of Fame QB but doesn't have Brady's playoff pedigree....
Brady is the best "pressure" QB since Montana. He seems to bring his best stuff for the big games and has the knack for making the right decisions most of the time. Plus Belicheck seems hungry to prove he is by far the greatest coach of his generation and has the Pats playing their best now with loads of momentum. The Pats second half thrashing of a good Jets team is a clear indication in my mind that they are ready to make another run...
If they manage to add a fourth Super Bowl in six years then the questions will arise as to their place in history compared to the great Steelers teams of the 70s. I think because of their excellent balance in all phases of the game the Pats would rank very high. At this point I put them slightly ahead of the 49ers of the 80s and the 90s Cowboys...

He doesn't have to be, with a good defense. Dilfer showed that and McNair is better than Dilfer.

I think the Patriots are peaking at the right time. The NFC fodder... err representative will be..... strictly due to home field advantage, the Bears, in a rematch of the '86 Super Bowl, except this time it's Da Bears that lose 46-10. Sorry Mr. Polar Bear.

Patriots are not as good as their past Super Bowl teams. Beating the Jets doesn't say much.

Chargers have Marty Schottenheimer as head coach, and he chokes in the playoffs.

Colts have Peyton Manning and have to win two on the road on grass to get to the dance. That won't happen either.

Bears have a QB that will single handedly lose a game by himself.

Seahawks D is hurting, and Jeff Garcia in the Super Bowl? I don't think so.

Ravens have the D. And the Saints have the country pulling for them.

Ravens/Saints SUPER BOWL..... Ravens late FG gives them what appears to be the game winning points but a late quick drive with less than a minute remaining gives the new America's Team the win. 20-19.

MVP Reggie Bush.

Here
Indy vs. New England.... Ventiari beats the theam that let him go with yet another post-season game-winning FG... (27-24 Indy)

Chicago vs. New Orleans.... the team of destiny wins another one as Grossman implodes with 3 interceptions... (24-10 New Orleans)

Super Bowl... Indy vs. New Orleans... Manning finally wins the big one in one of the best games ever.... (34-31 Indy)

I dont know, Golden Boy (Tom Brady) just finds a way to win. The only thing I would put in Indy's favour is home field. Should be a good game.
