Before the Playoffs began I had a Carolina v. Baltimore SB. Obviously that wont happen now. But I will still pick BAL as my SB winner. Hopefully Boldin will be healthy for the game but I think ARZ can still beat PHI without him. In fact, the trio of Fitzgerald , Boldin , and Breaston is one of the best trio of WRs on a single team since maybe Harrison, Wayne and Stokely perhaps. I will reserve my prediction on the NFC Championship game until later this week. I still need to think about this game , it could be the game of the playoffs.

The ASante Samuel v. Larry Fitzgerald matchup could decide the winner of that football game. I cannot wait to see that matchup.

My favorite scenario would be Kurt Warner
and the Cardinals to win the SB, but I think
it will be the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Steelers will find a way to beat the Ravens in the Super Bowl. Then they'll play that exhibition game on Feb 1.;)

Pleeeaaassse no Ravens in Super Bowl ... That might result in Super Boring !!!
May I ask why? It cant be because they are a defensive minded team because PITT is the same way.

Let me play devil's advocate and argue that the Ravens are NOT boring.

First off,h ow would the Ravens be boring and the Steelers not? When the teams are so similar? 3-4 defenses, the two best safeties in the NFL, the two best linebcaking corps in the league in my opinion. James Harrison, Ray Lewis, James Farrior, Bart Scott, Terell Suggs, Lamaar Woodley. There is gonna be some tremendous linebacker play in this game. On the D-line, we have some underrated players on both squads, Haloti Ngata is having a very good year at nosetackle, okay I know nosetackle isnt exactly a sexy position like WR or RB or QB, but a nosetackle that at times has dropped into a zone and gotten picks this season? A nosetackle that Jon Harbaugh has said is so athletic that he could probably be a blocking-tight end for the Ravens. He's a talented player. Aaron Smith is a very good defensive end in a 3-4 scheme, he may not have a high sack count but then again what DE in a 3-4 does, but if you have watched the Steelers you know he is a very good player. Two DCs in Dick Lebeau and Rex Ryan that like to bring pressure and wreak havoc in the offensive backfield, sacking the QB, forcing fumbles. If Ed Reed doesnt wanna make you watch football then I'm guessing you just really do not like defense and there is no problem with that. Some fans just prefer offensive football over defensive football but the only problem with that is that PITT and BAL are similar and its not like PITT's offense has been high-octane.

Ed Reed is the Peyton Manning of the defensive side of the football. Is there anyone smarter at reading a QBs eyes and baiting a QB to throw picks than Ed Reed. Not only that, Reed doesnt just get picks, he gets pick-6s. Anytime an opposing QB tries to throw a ball into the middle of the field its an adventure because you know 20 is gonna be around the ball. He is in my opinion THE BEST playmaking safety in the history of the NFL. If anyone can tell me someone better than Ed Reed please let me know. If what Ed Reed did, particularly the 2nd half of this season and in the post season does not excite you, then I guess you just dont enjoy watching great defense.

If you dont like defensive football, then I would understand how you would think the Ravens are boring but if you dont like defensive football than the Steelers would be boring to you as well.

And lets not over look the offense of the Ravens, this is one of the best (if not the best) Ravens offense since the SB year in 2000. Derrick Mason is an underrappreciated receiver, and you have a rookie QB in Flacco who has shown poise, maturity, a cannon of an arm (stronger than Ryan's I might add and I would know as I'm a Falcons fan), and hes pretty mobile as well. Maybe I'm too much of a purist but I also love watching Lorenzo Neal level someone on almost every running play, sure he may not be the player he used to be but he is still a darn good blocking-back, I am sure LT is wishing he was back in SD.

With that, I like the Ravens over the Cards in the SB. But regardless of what happens in the championship games this weekend, I still maintain that the Ravens are a fun team to watch.

Arizona Cardinals - (take the points and also straight up) bet against the public - they are most often wrong when it comes to gambling (Steelers will be the fav.)

I will say this, the Cards pass-protection held up against that Jim Johnson blitzing scheme in that first half, they did an excellent job in the first half. The blitzes started to get home in the 2nd half but I was surprised at how good the Cards pass-pro was in the first half. The key challenge for the Cards next week will be Harrison and Woodley coming off the edges. Mike Gandy had a tough time with Trent Cole in that 2nd half today and James Harrison will be an even tougher matchup for him. The Cards OC will have to give GAndy some sort of help, with either a back or TE chipping.

I sincerely hope the Cards win the SB. I hate the Steelers. I wanted them to lose tonight and they didnt. Go Cards. And if the Cards win the SB I wont feel as bad about my Falcons losing to them in the 1st round.

The Steelers achillees heel in the reg season was pass-pro but I think we all have to admit that the pass protection has been tangibly better in the post-season. Lets give the hogs up front some credit, they have done an excellent job at pass-blocking this postseason.

How about the game Haloti Ngata and Ray Lewis had though, Fast Willie wasnt looking so fast, he couldnt go anywhere. I liked what John Clayton said on ESPN, Haloti has a very fitting name cause when you try to run between the tackles on the Ravens, your gonna get get "Notta"
