Left the Leafs for greener pastures and ends up with a sub par season with better players in front of him...

Hopes of winning his 1st cup vapourize in the 1st round...

Dominator thinking of a comeback...

What are the Wings to do? If they don't exercise their rights, Dom could end up with the Avalanche. If they do, they've got two 1st stringers at a combined salary of 17m+.

Someone's gonna have to go...

In my chair
Cujo has a no-trade but Hasek doesn't, however, they would have to pay him $9M, and that might make him untradeable.

We'll watch with interest.

How about this...we get Hasek back so we can win one last Cup before the lockout...bench Cujo and bite the bullet...old guys retire, we start with a newer younger team, with Legasse in net where he's finally able to show his skill as a starter...

for those of you who think the wings are too old, they will only be six months older than they were when their season ended, and they were doing ok until we met up with Jiggy...and for the record, we weren't the only ones that fell to the Ducks...I wouldn't sell short the skill of the Wings - there's no reason the Wings can't do it again next year, old guys or not.

Cujo is a bitch

that has never won anything. Bench him or buy out his contract. He belongs in the gutter.

Cujo and Mike Liut should share championship stories with each other.

Now that would be what I call making small talk.

Here and there
Atta girl, Lil'Miss !!

Larry Brooks column in the NY Post today suggests that Dom will only come back if it's Detroit, and that Cujo would waive his no-trade if he goes to the Rangers...

He'd be wise to -- because fair or not, fans at JLA will make his life miserable come October....

9 million for Hasek! Jesus! Curtis has become a bit of a whiner even though when he played with the Leafs he rocked.

I beg to differ... Cujo did NOT rock when he was with the Leafs.

He was the same guy that he's always been. A good goaltender who was just one notch below great. He has never won anything significant in his life. He'll stand on his head but end up on the short-side of a 2-1 score... somehow, he manages to *just* get beat by the Brodeurs, Roys, Belfours and Haseks of the league. Amongst the current generation of goalies, he would fall below Luongo and Turco.

I'm a pretty big Leafs fan, but one thing this town does is glorify their near-stars to a fault. It was done with Potvin, and then the same thing happened with Cujo...

Unfortunately for Joseph, he bought into his own press-clippings and went to Detroit thinking it would be a magical ride to a championship. In the end, his mediocrity was exposed.

Actually, I have to agree with you. But he's still got great potential.

To what? Steal a

series here and there.

He's a reflex, sports highlight goaltender. He stands so far back in his net and can't play an angle if his life depended on it.

Guys like that have stints of greatness, but never win it all.
