Having a woman relying on me is very attractive, and I enjoy providing resource and security, bringing her out to dinner and wrapping my arms around her when she's not feeling well.

I think the richest woman in the U.S. (probably the whole world) is MacKenzie Scott. The second richest is probably a Wal-Mart heiress.

When Sam Walton left the military after WW II, he married rich and she provided the seed money ($20,000?) that launched the Wal-Mart empire.

A friend of a friend grew up poor on the "wrong side of the track". As an adult he trained to be an electrician. One day he did work on a Rosedale house. The rest is history.

This is exactly right.
I think successful female business owners who are sexually attractive and single are intimidating.

it’s because she’s financially independent and has more money than me so therefore, she will more than likely disqualify me as a potential date because I would be incapable of financially providing for her as her man due to me not being socioeconomically as high as her.

Secondly, owning a business requires leadership and taking risks. Men are more than likely to become leaders of a cooperation and to take risks which why men work at riskier jobs. If I work for a cooperation and make decent money VS her owning a business and makes more money than me, She will see me as being incapable of leading in the relationship. Traditionally, most men in relationships are dominant and most women in relationships are submissive.

There’s something called hypergamy where you form a relationship with somebody who is socioeconomically above them and most women operate this way naturally. You never hear about a female lawyer or doctor marrying a man who works at McDonalds or Walmart. That’s why it’s intimidating.
Well…. Yes… but no.

You are looking at this wrong.

There are some dirt poor hot chicks that think landing a rich guy will solve there problems. Vegas casinos are filled with them. But that’s not all women, or even all “poor” women. It’s a tiny fraction. And I am afraid you are picturing those type of women as being the successful type.

Now, financial security… that is biological need for women. But a woman who is financially independent is taking care of herself. She does not “need” a man for that. In fact, financially independent women are proud of the fact they don’t “need” a man for that.

what else do women need. Probably to feel valued. Listened too. To be understood.

I am sure different women look for different things in guys. Some women like Harley riders, and bad boys. Some women like thoughtful guys that read books. Every woman likes a guy that does dishes and folds laundry occasionally. Confidence is a big one. Confidence all on its own is an attractive quality. But that only goes so far…

point is, if she does not need to be taken care of, then she is not looking for only ultra wealthy guys. Now, you still need something to offer. You can’t expect to be taken care of. That part is true. If you can’t take care of yourself, then yeah, you might be delusional

So I guess the bottom line is, if you can take care of business for you, that goes a long way to get in her business. And here is the good news. Even if a guy is the nighttime floor cleaner at Walmart, there is nothing stopping him from bettering himself, and getting ahead in life. Nothing. Read a few books, take a free online coarse. Get your gun license. Buy a Harley. Learn a few chords on a guitar. Live a little. Be interesting.

Also…. Some women like “taking care” of men. Don’t know how old you are, but sugar mama’s are real.

This is the statement of a small tiny man, with a myopic & miniscule scope of life who will only eat Big Macs and live in a rented basement until he can no longer control his bodily functions. He will then die forgotten and undiscovered for several days. No one will mourn him. There will be no record or memory of his existence anywhere to be recalled.

No wonder no woman anywhere will want nothing to do with this sort of pitiful male.

The only intimidating aspect of this is a pitiful out look on life. Then it's deservedly so.

From my own experience, attractive and successful New Money women who don't need any financial backing from a man to maintain their chosen lifestyle often chose to be with men who have a skilled trade, (carpenters and plumbers, in addition to electricians), 'noble physicial labourers' like firefighters, or men who are talented artistically. Old Money wealthy women are more likely to chose a social peer.

GTA & Thereabouts...
I dated a sole proprietor for years and years. She was smoking hot, modelled, was a feminist (equalist) and made way more than I did at the time. Nothing to be intimidated about at all. We actually broke up as she was angling for marriage, but I couldn't handle her careless spending habits (and her evil fucking cat)... I guess I should have married her as I would have been looked after.

My wife is a sole proprietor and could easily rival me in earnings now, but she chooses to work a lot less and lives a balanced stress-free life. She'll outlive me by decades. I'm more jealous of that aspect.

As other examples, I have a colleague/friend and a hockey buddy.... These guys are macho guys and make 6 figures, but their wives make 2 and 3 times what their husbands do now. One dude stayed home each time with the three kids as she makes crazy money.

I've also worked for women that are the main moneymakers in their relationships. Their husbands were also making good money.

Women are women. Love them and support them. They may just wind up excelling in what they do and bringing home a shit-tonne of cash!

One of the guys I reference is a skilled trade. I'm sure his executive wife enjoys the benefits of his musclebound physique... The other guy is an Architect.

As much as you’re all shitting on the OP, it’s a common phenomenon. I know of many powerful single women who complain of a meagre dating pool.

Part of it is that older men avoid dating older women - so you get fantastic women in their late 30s/early 40s who don’t want to date men in their 50s, even though that’s their most common opportunity.

Part of it, though, is that a lot of guys lack the confidence and stamina to be around them 24/7. It can be exhausting.

My contractor had a business job with a great salary but loves construction work and building things. His wife makes much more then him. She told him to quick his business job and do what he loves. She paid the bills for a few years while his business took off.

She still makes more then him but he is quite happy that he found a woman who supported his dream.

In terms of income disparity, you’re much more likely to find a very successful guy married to a hot and unproductive woman than a super successful woman married to a hot but unproductive guy. Men and women are just generally wired differently. Men gather resources to attract women; sex generally forms a much stronger motivator for men than women. For men getting a hot mate is the end goal. Women generally don‘T think that way.

This is wrong. Hypergamy has always existed and it has been practiced by women for centuries. It’s not a pitiful outlook if women are biologically hardwired to be hypergamous. Just like how men are biologically hardwired to want to have sex with a really hot woman.

Women who are dominate at their jobs are the most submissive in bed. Men too for the most part
