Subways and transit

This is somewhat along the same lines as another post but thought it was not right to highjack that one .
I have read about GROPING being a BIG problem on transit systems . TOO the point where there are people gramped in and the person next to yuo has theirs hands full so to speak . The artical stated that in some countries they have seperate buses or whatever for the females .
We do not even have subways here and the buses are not crowded to say the lest ::: So I quess this is more a question than anything .... Is it really that bad to take subways and buses in large cites without being groped

I think groping is a problem in any large public gathering, and it's part of the reason many women avoid transit.

It's a shame, at least the problem isn't nearly as bad as in many other countries.

I think if it was a real problem we'd have women's rights groups screaming their heads off over it and I haven't heard a peep from anyone about it.

I think groping (at least here in Toronto) could be considered sexual assault and the "perp" could be arrested for it.

Now, not to sound like a perv or anything, but back when I did ride the ttc I certainly didn't mind holding the overhead handrail and having a hottie nestle into me. On more than one occasion I've had women lose their balance (those high heel CFM's they wear are killer on subways and buses) and I've actually had to catch them. There's usually an embarrassed "sorry" and often it starts a short little convo...

In Japan this is quite common, actually. There are even some women who engage in this activity, though it's much more rare.

Not only in Japan, but Thailand & HK. Singapore also considered it 1 point. I was careful of my hands to avoid accidents when I was over there.
