Supreme Court confirms that Subway "bread" is not really bread based on the fact it contains so much sugar that it can not legally be defined as bread.
Panel of judges rules it can not be considered a staple food because there is too much sugar in it.

I've known this for a while.... and if you want gluten-free bread, you have to pay an extra dollar.

The Subway bread has been steadily getting worse, over the years.. Ditto for the Mr. Sub, btw. It's actually at the point when I no longer visit either of the sandwich shops. Can't have a decent sandwich without quality bread.

Subs have sunk. Just the smell from passing by a subway makes me wanna gag. Last time I went to a Mr.Sub was over 10 years ago. I walk in and was the only customer, the employee was sweeping the floor, he took my order and proceeded to cut the bread without washing his hands first. I turned around and walked out. I'm surprised Mr.sub is even still around.
If I want a sandwich I'll hit California's or St.Lawarence market

I think we do, anyone know for sure that can provide a link to Canada Gov't site?

We do
Thats why we pay taxes on it

(the argument was they were trying to claim it as a food "staple" so did not want to pay taxes
same way stuff like milk is tax free)

You are guessing.
IF you buy buns in a pack there is not tax. If you buy single or less than the pack/pak ( FAMILY VALUE ) you pay.... TAX.

My osteopath emailed me today, that they are force to charge tax in 4-6 weeks.
