I previously inputted some data in the StudioTax program which I now want to change but the program doesn't seem to allow changes. For example, let say I originally inputted the wrong social insurance number. How do I correct it now? I made the change on the pop-up but it is never saved and the old incorrect social insurance number keeps repeating itself:confused:. Do I have to completely delete the return and start fresh?

I'm surprised that you managed to put in an incorrect SIN, as it has a check digit, or did you put the wrong person's SIN in the return?

Carry on. and later open T1 page one and click the modify data button just below the name and address. I tried it with last year's return.

Thanks. Here is the real story and is a bit embarrassing. On a late, dark and stormy night after a couple of drinks in February, I completed page 1 (and no other pages) of the return and saved it. To-day I opened my return and noticed a typo in my year of birth and in my address. So, I clicked on the "modify data button", made the corrections on the pop-up but when I reopened the return, the same old typos were still there.

So, is the solution to complete all 4 pages of the return and then click on the "modify data button" to make the necessary corrections?

P.S. One more confession. I did not file my 2011 return electronically. I used StudioTax to do all the calculations for my 2011 return and transcribed all the data to a paper return and filed the paper return.

why don't you just create a new one???

If it is that hard to modify.
I got so frustrated that I decided to just delete everything. I'll re-install the program tomorrow and start afresh. Can't believe that a program won't allow changes. Got to get everything right the first time, no typos, no subsequent T5 additions, etc.

You can add subsequent forms, go to "Forms" tab, select the one you want to add and click on down arrow

Out of curiosity, can someone with 2 computers get 40 free tax returns using StudioTax (20 freebies per computer)?
