Circumstances can make anyone vulnerable to somebody taking advantage of them. I would be very surprised if this was the first time the stripper exploited someone but I think it was a first and hopefully a last time for the victim.

here is a thought. don't lend people money that your not capable of losing if they dont pay you back...if you feel you want to lend people money...dont lend them money again if they havent paid you back from the first time you lent them money. that why this old dude would not be out 20K. it would have been like 3K.

Now he's an even bigger fool for crying to the media so everyone knows of his stupidity.
Wonder how many people are looking for where he lives?

A few years ago, there was a story about this guy who was out $140,000 (even collapsed his RRSP). He sued the woman and I think she went to jail for fraud. Don't know what happened to his money.

Well not all men cheat on their wives..this guy might not have either. He wasn't used to "dating" gals on Craig list.

Too bad the Star doesn't recommend Terb for men new to the dating scene :p We would have set him straight, lol.

"Stevenson`s brother gave him a computer for his birthday"

if he only knew how to use the computer properly (signing up on https://terb.cc), he would`ve been $20,000 poorer and more but way more happier.

I surprised by the lack of compassion of some posters. The guy was vulnerable having lost his wife. I'm sure he thought that at his age he was destined to die alone , living the last 10 or 15 years of his life without love or intimacy. Cut him some slack please.

Let he who has never ever been hurt by a woman cast the first insult.

I didn't call him anything I wouldn't have called myself. At some point you have to say, losing a wife or parent or dog, it's life. The way you have grown since birth pretty much determines how you handle tragedy. You can face it like a man and deal with it or do dumb things. Hopefully he won't miss the $20,000. It could have been worse.

I feel sorry for the guy. He was vulnerable and taken advantage of.

We know better because of TERB and the fact that many of us learned the hard way with much smaller sums.

Give the guy a break.

I dont feel sorry for him at all, most of the time its probably karma coming back to bite him in the ass. Who knows how many people he ripped off when he was a businessman.

I'm not saying he did for sure, maybe he's an honest guy.
But I lived long enough to see karma is a very real phenomenon
lol give me a break

Some men will never learn. There are men on this very board who, years from now, will fall for the same thing. That's what happens when you think solely with your cock rather than your brain.
