Hmmm, I just thought of something. I never gave much thought to the gov't importing strippers to work in the GTA, but perhaps it is a good way to introduce potential Canadian citizens from people in countries that traditionally do not emigrate to Canada (i.e. Romania or Mexico).
Sure, we get a lot of people from the Caribbean and Asia so no need to encourage imports of strippers from those countries. But how many Romanians or Mexicans do you know that emigrated to Canada on their own? Not too many.
Plus, stripping allows new immigrants to potentially make greater wages than they otherwise would, thus improving the chances they do not become a burden on the system.
It also attracts young females, who are needed in Canadian society for their child-bearing value since our birthrate is so low.
I dunno if this is an actual gov't policy, but it sure makes sense to me! Why else would you allow foreign strippers to emigrate to your country at all?
