Not only bring back the Dynasty---the old Spruce in Whitby was a good second choice on some days.

Well, the Spruce is torn down, anyone got a building permit :D And Tanglewood, well, the cold beer was nice, and the bartenders were usually gorgeous, lol.

Unfortunately...

the east end of the GTA is about 10-15 yrs behind the north and west, in terms of development. It's rapidly catching up, and only a matter of time before we get some decent strip clubs...I hope. I live close to Belleville and am fairly spoiled as we have two clubs, probably the best there are between Quebec and Brampton.

Their not near the truck stop. Their both downtown. One is in the old part of downtown right off highway 2.

Actually, one is on 62, just south of the Quinte Mall, and as mentioned, the other is down by Hwy#2, by the bridges going across the Trent. The one that was accross from the train station had a fire and is no longer open. That one had great potential but nobody seemed to know about it.

Belleville SC's

Any comments on the quality of the Belleville SC's, particularly during the afternoon?

afternoon...

can only say I have been to both in the afternoon and it varies widely. Depends entirely what kind of talent they happen to have that week, have seem it very happenin and very dull...the Go-Go probably was a bit better in terms of the dancers and crowd...but I like a little sleaze and grunge plus the vip is better at the Caberet.

Yes, Palace East in Pickering, Royal in Whitby and Tanglewood in Courtice I believe thats about it.
Royal and Tanglewood both did not renew their licenses as far as I know. Tanglewood I'm 100% sure. Royal I'm 95% sure.

But hey... they're turning the old Castle in Bowmanville into luxury apartments. I wonder if they'll leave the pole up in somebody's room. :D

The Canadian

in Belleville was the first strip joint I ever went to...the Pink Palace, due to the incredible paint job. First and only time I was asked for ID (in any bar), cause my jaw dropped to the floor, and it was so dark you could hardly see your hand in front of your face...wow, what a lot of wild times in that place...nostalgia indeed!

Best Western or Days Inn, whatever bought the Dynasty is losing money on it......Rumor has someone interested in buying it back to reopen it.....I really enjoyed disc jockeying there, we had a great staff....As for other strip clubs, I saw earlier mention of the Tanglewood, the only thing that was good there was the cold beer, the only way a good looking girl was there is if she was first starting and didn't know better or just didn't know about the place.
Actually General Motors has already said that if Best Western ever decides to sell the property that they are interested in turning it into a parking lot.
