When Joseph Quinn, who plays Eddie Munson, first appeared on screen my reaction was “Holy Hell, he looks exactly like a young Robert Downey Jr.”
That was my initial thought as well.. similar look and mannerism with longer hair.

Just finished season 4 and have been very impressed. The soundtrack throughout the series fits so well. Kind of reminds me of John Hughes directing a Steven King movie. More than once I drifted off reminiscing about the amazing times growing up in that era... The arcades , school , music ,house parties and Cars !
Anyone else remember sitting backwards in the back of a fake wood panel station wagon ?

Apologies forthcoming for hijaking this thread.

I haven't watched the episode yet, E4 of Stanger Things features Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill, now No. 1 on both iTunes and Spotify. It's shot up to 50+ million views on YT.

Gen Z shocked by hearing real music.

She was FUCKING AWESOME!!! So many incredible songs and a style that was so incredibly unique. Wuthering Heights was just brilliant, and The Man with a Child in His Eyes. One of the most amazing love songs ever. S2 was kinda lame, so I stopped watching I will go back and catch up.

That was the problem with the earlier seasons, the Duffer Brothers were using CGI on a show about the 80's. It was not only the pandemic that delayed S4, they went back to traditional special effects of the kind that Steven Spielberg would have used in the 80's.

Season 3 Finale still seems to be the most epic episode for me but that Dear Billy of season 4 is something

Just announced, the new pitch woman for Prada. Thanks to Sweet Sadie, Kate Bush will need to go on tour...I don't believe she has this century.

Season 4b will be released on Canada Day.

This is one occasion Rick Beato is happy to be wrong. He said Generation Z didn't care about music, seems to me they are starved for real music.

The Finale of Stranger Things is 140 minutes long, had to make time for it. The Finale featured the other great song scene: Master of Puppets. Joseph Quinn, who does bear a striking resemblance to Robert Downey Jr, practiced until he could play it for the show. Also an excellent scene.

What makes S4 great, the Duffer Bros went with early 80's Spielberg FX instead of Disney cheesey CGI. It made for a more intense show.

Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyer's Club) and Leonardo di Caprio (The Revenant) both won Oscars for suffering. With that criteria, Jamie Campbell Bower deserves the Emmy, he suffered more than the Soup Nazi.

He also had Sadie Sink pee on him.

This new learning amazes me Sir Bedivere, explain again how Sadie Sink's bladder prevents earthquakes?

I finally got with the times and subscribed to Netflix.

I'm almost through S1 so I still have a bit of catching up to do but I've been enjoying to so far.

Just to add to this, Joe Keery is one of the names that's being tossed around to play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the MCU Fantastic Four movie.

I'm totally on board with this. I think he could pull off the role since there are a lot of similarities between Steve and Johnny, Ie. they're "bad boys" with a heart of gold, so I think that would be perfect casting.

The Whale, premiered at TIFF on Sunday. If the critics are to be believed, Sadie Sink is evolving away from Stranger Things already. The critics hate her character not the actress, meaning she did her role well. Darren Aronovsky hasn't made a film in awhile, it could have the same impact as The Wrestler and Black Swan. It's a stage play that the Director adapted into a film.

What troubles me is, how is Brendan Fraser going to lose all that weight?!
