I suppose the Apple fanboys that line up for his over priced products will cry like NDP followers when he passes.

Not too shocking but still...Apple is on top of the world and would be interesting to see how they go from here.

Hope his health is ok.

Was hoping Stevo could beat it...

....but it doesn't look good for him in spite, no doubt, of getting the best healthcare treatment money can buy.
The big 'C' can be such a bitch.....:(

Although Jobs has been silent about his the details of his condition, his sudden departure, combined with his medical history, suggests that his condition has worsened to the point where he is “not in functional capability,” suggested Dr. Timothy Donahue, a doctor with the UCLA Center for Pancreatic Disease.

“It could potentially mean pain, lethargy, tiredness,” Donahue said, all of which would preclude running a global enterprise and even raise worries about Jobs’ survival.

Despite treatment for a neuroendocrine pancreatic tumor, first diagnosed in 2004, and a liver transplant, the cancer likely has re-emerged, Donahue said. In other patients who have liver transplants after neuroendocrine pancreatic tumors, the median survival rate is typically about two years.

“He’s pretty much reached the median survival,” Donahue said.

My understanding is that he stays as Chairman, so not so bad. Truth be known, he has made his contribution.

There's a lesson to be learned here for OTB, being the #1 company, having tons of cash means FUCK ALL in the grand scheme of things.
But I suspect, we'll still be hearing from him about their stock performance, the amount of cash they have and how it's more than 124 countries put together on a good day of stock trading/price, along with 6 sheep, 5 cows and about 50 donkeys from a small tribe in the middle of Nigeria.

More of a visionary than Gates ever was. Hopefully he will continue to influence.

I feel bad for Jobs and wish him well. I expect Apple to do very well for some time to come yet, but they have lost a great visionary and will find it much more difficult to be as innovative as they would be under Jobs.

If you have no desire to be rich and ridicule those that are into money, why did you join the TERB lottery ticket group buy??? It's ok to be rich and into money if it's you who has it but not someone into Apple.

It`s not about being or not being "rich", it`s the incessant posts on here about the companies numbers and what not.
There`s more to life than money, who doesn`t want to have money and be comfortable?

There must be an app for comprehension and deductive reasoning, you and djk could apparently use it and I suggest you get it.
DJK`s need for the app -> https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthrea...OS-5-Phasing-Out-Developer-Access-To-The-UDID

You'd think (so called) "conservative Christians" wouldn't be this obsessed with money, afterall, the Bible and Hey Zeus teaches not to be.

Are we talking about the company or the man?

The company has reached an amazing level with the leadership of Jobs, I think it's relevant to measure success... I think so.

The man has had an amazing impact, on technology (Apple) on entertainment (Pixar)....

Naaa, you have quite an unhealthy obsession with money.

So point is, sure there`s a "lot of money at that table" but even your beloved Jobs would probably give it all up in place of his illness.
Maybe you`ll learn something from it, but I doubt it.
Don`t forget your post about how Apple surpassed Exxon for one day, or the post about it having more money than the government (how sad for your country btw).

So you measure success by comparing all the money at the table in relation to other countries? Interesting, I guess that was something taught at biz` school.

Anyways, continue on obsessing about money, can`t imagine how you would feel if you were in Jobs` dilemma. ;-)

As for being a conservative Christian, you`re right, you`re not, you have a S/O and you`re on an escort review board.
What would Jesus or God have to say about that? ;)
