I've been lucky to date but concerned about std's especially skin contact ones like herpes. How do you manage that risk? I try to start mish to get a look but maybe I'm fooling myself.

you might want to read up on STDs. A lot of them are not visible to some people. Its the risks you take being in the hobby and you should get tested regularly.

If you fool around enough times you are bound to catch something. Law of statistics.

Damn I don't want to go back to porn but I would save a lot more money..
Can't you reduce the risk by wearing a condom for all activities and I was also considering wearing boxer briefs (with a hole for condom) which would provide a barrier for contact genital herpes.
Is this why some guys stick to MA? I assume the risk is a lot lower but maybe not with close contact body slides??
Are there any long time hobbyists who can provide some advice?

lol get a look? a big stamp on the pubic bone that says 'I have chlamydia'? If you're doing this shit, you better be prepared to deal with the fact that this might happen. That said, it's only happened to me once hobbying but several times doing the civilian thing (yes I was super promiscuous as a teen. no you're not 'shaming' me by pointing out i was an irresponsible dumb kid). Thankfully it was just chlamydia. I no longer feel bulletproof as an old man.

Just Chlamydia? Sheesh. Need to be careful. If you test negative and address only sleeping with one person and get it later , then you know you got it from your partner

Poolasaurus is right - if you are getting concerned and anxious about it then it is time to leave the hobby.

Some things that helps me feel safe as a provider are the following:
Have a look anyways, I always do It's never a guarantee, but it can help.
Get tested every three months; many of the severe ones can take three months to emerge.

Have no genital to genital contact; a huge complaint myself and other Sp's have had is that many men feel that you have to penetrate to get an STD. Sadly this is not true. This results in a lot of girls being pressured to do those things, and it causes them a lot of stress. I have heard many, many complaints. It also causes STD's to spread.
When I was starting out I let that slide, no pun intended, because I worked for an agency and did not want to get in trouble. (Not Mirage). Thankfully I was lucky and never caught anything in the weeks that I did it, and eventually grew a back bone. I've noticed a thread about pussy slides. If you are comfortable doing it, and the Sp is comfortable and isn't being pressured into it, then that's your choice as adults. However, the risks are almost as great as BBFS. I would not do it. I would like that to be respected. I do not advocate doing it, because the risks like Herpes are very, very serious and permanent.

Bare in mind there are girls that get serious things, and some are/ were reputable too. And she always gets it from a client. Don't assume if a girl is 'more high end' she will never have been exposed. However, if a girl has issues with money she may not be able to take the week or two off from work to finish the medication before resuming work, or take time off work to go to the clinic. It's something to consider when choosing a provider.

Know that coldsores by either party can transmit Herpes via oral sex. Never receive oral from a provider who has any sort of sores or bumps on her mouth.
Use a condom.
If you prefer, you can ask any SP to use a condom for oral, I doubt she would mind.
Use lube; it helps prevent condoms from breaking. It's no guarantee but it helps a lot with friction, and it can be needed even if the girl is aroused.

I'm happy you are mindful and concerned; it's best when we all ask about things we are unsure of and take steps towards protecting us all.
Rule of statistics says you may catch something at some point, but I never caught anything in my civilian life despite being promiscuous, and myself and other Sp's have not caught anything after 1yr+ of fun. Those tips cut down the risks by a large margin.

Happy Hobbying :)

Awe. Thanks Charlotte. You are as warm as you are pretty and I appreciate your stance on said thread.

we SP's don't say these things because we want to be a killjoy, or mean, or deny each other our fun. We say these things because we really, really do not want STD's for ourselves, our clients, and other ladies, even our competition. I would not wish Herpes, HIV and HPV on anyone. Not even on mean clients or people I dislike immensely ( here or in my civillian life).

STD's are a big part of why escorts are not liked. Clients are not liked. And even part of why laws are placed to cut down on our fun.

While this is also an extreme killjoy, it really, really breaks my heart to think of a lady getting something from her husband, and it causing infertility. That can greatly, greatly be prevented with the use of condoms and non-genital contact.
All clients business is ultimately their business and I never judge affairs. But please, for everyones sake, if you can prevent the spread of STD's and lifelong damaging impacts to all parties why not do so? Is a little bit of extra pleasure worth that much?

To me it never will be.

That's it. Rant over. I think :p

STIs (lol i'm sooooooo progressive) are a reality. If I'm getting with sex workers, I'm single. I understand some guys need to step out, but rethink your priorities if you're worried. That said, my run-ins with shit like chlamydia have been from civilians.

It may not have been stated on here, directly, but as an SP I have gotten a lot of surprised "really, that can happens'?"

I was on a date with a 50 year old orthopedic surgeon- he had no clue you could get Herpes from cold sores. I bet him 500$ you could. Guess who walked away with 500$?
Many other Sp's have mentioned they feel forced into doing it and a lot of guys don't seem to know that it doesn't have to go in, just ON.

We just want to clarify anything confusing because we have to keep on top of the info. We are sexperts ;)

Just a feeling: I think single or no we should all focus on the risks and make avoiding it a priority. As stated, a lot of lovely ladies have never caught anything because they take all the precautions we've been advocating. We're not 'better', or 'cleaner', we just have firmer guidelines on what will be acceptable during a date and stick with it.

So my feelings are if you're concerned and take the right precautions there is a very low chance of getting something. Thanks for being concerned. Now, come see one of us ladies and have some fun; we're happy to go out of our way and make you feel safe while we play. I will never get tired of answering any STD related questions, and my office even has information pamphlets and the address for a clinic to get tested at- a lot of ladies do. It's better to ask questions than remain stupid. It's better to be concerned and prudent than reckless.

Why are you so pissed off? I didn't say someone said it in this thread. You also quoted only part of my sentence, I was talking about pussyslides which was argued about from gents as having low risk to the same risk as DFK or BBBJ on the forum, AND i've had clients argue with me about this in person when they try it and think i should be fine with it. There's been some deletes to a few posts I noticed in this thread below, but the topic of pussyslides comes up often in this hobby with some arguing that vaginal contact with pre cum or genital to genital not being a concern like BBFS.
https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?551293-Whats-this-called
My response was based on your saying, "...the risks of pussyslides as it is a hot topic here with a lot of gents thinking the STD risk is zero unfortunately." You say it is a hot topic HERE, so yes, that was never stated here. Many have said it was minimal and the ensuing discussion was about the degree of risk. All fair statements and a good discussion, but let's not exaggerate.

What a bunch of BS. That was NEVER stated.
It was never stated but it is always better to make it clear to those less informed.
We have many lurkers here.

Thanks for the Kudos, Cheekybacon.

I'd just like to add a gentle reminder that Charlotte Edwards, and all the other ladies who have contributed to the 'pussy slide' thread are sexperts also. I don't want to rattle off every single lady, but I know that Miss Emily J, Malika Fantasy, Kathryn Bardot, and any other well established girl who loves this job and puts a lot of effort into it are also sexperts.

I'm not sure how new you are, but keep asking questions if you need to. See people with good reputations, who make you feel comfortable, and use whatever level of safe play gives you the best piece of mind; preferably without trashbags and boxers.

Happy Hobbying.
-Chloe.

Charlotte, you've been asked several times to change the size of your signature picture... Yes, you pay to advertise here, but it really is a PITA to have to scroll almost a page-length to get by it every time one comes across a post of yours.

Great ass and all. Just a smaller picture would be appreciated!

To be fair, the mods did allow it thus far. So it is assumed it is allowed.

I did upload it to a online photo reducer last week and it was reduced by 50%. I guess if I posted full nudes like some ladies in their signature it wouldn't be an issue to gents here? I have further reduced it... haven't seen any other ladies criticized for photos in their signatures that's all.
I don't step outside of the Ottawa section often, so I haven't come across any other giant signatures. Thanks for resizing it -- even browsing from a laptop, it was taking up an entire page -- had nothing to do with the content itself, just the size of it. I don't know the advertising rules, but it's just courtesy, so thank you.
