Star Wars - UltraAVX 3D or IMAX 3D

Tickets for new Star Wars movie are now available.
Some theaters are showing the movie as "UltraAVX 3D" or "IMAX 3D"
What's the difference with these theaters ?
Which is better to watch this beloved movie series ?

I don't know much about UltraAVX 3D, but I am a big fan of IMAX. I think that IMAX screens are usually much bigger than anything else.

I would say UltraAVX is better because although Imax screens are bigger, unless the film was shot with Imax cameras (which it wasn't), the image won't have the resolution to do it justice.

I think Ultra is about better sound quality. I've seen Ultra and it's totally good enough. Also doesn't require the big theatre like IMAX does. Personally, I'd prefer to see Star Wars without 3D.

I think Ultra is about better sound quality. I've seen Ultra and it's totally good enough. Also doesn't require the big theatre like IMAX does. Personally, I'd prefer to see Star Wars without 3D.

I'm not a lover of 3D either, but the only tickets available for purchase today are 3D, UltraAVX-3D and IMAX-3D for the first 2 weeks ( Dec 18 - 30 ).
Cineplex is really milking this cash cow.
