As someone who chronically retires, then dabbles I think there should be a standardized verification system that respects peoples privacy and also protects paricipants. I fail to see how sending an EMT does either... and I've ruined more than a couple relationships by asking for a reference... so what's the happy medium?
Here's something to ponder... a few years ago I was given an airsoft gun... I had no use for it so I attempted to sell it on an airsoft Canada webpage but their rules stipulate that you can't post an ad without age verification, so I had to physically meet a moderator who quickly laughed at me because I was as old as his dad and approved the process... the members maintain a review status ...and it uses the same webpage platform Terb
...even if there was a fee involved I think something similar might be viable.

Personally I don't mind deposits (as long as the lady is reputable). Showing my ID is where I draw the line.

However a deposit for someone I have seen more than once ya that possible or some 3rd party holding service.

ID with the new laws? That is insanity until we see how it plays out. Esepcially with all these charges going back to events years in the past.

My take on this is that you do what is best for you. The fact you have had negative experiences in the past means you are not doing something right. Exactly who do you value as more more important, your safety or someone else’s. If it were me, my personal well being trumps all others.

If you fail to see what others think is effective that probably has a lot more to do you with.

How did you have relationships ruined by asking for a reference?
No matter what they say, SP's can get possessive and jealous with their regulars. I've had some tense moments and hurt feelings when asking a regular SP for a reference to see someone else too. As much as they publicly cry 'Business Transaction' and 'It's just a job like any other', sex workers are still human with all the same human frailties we all grapple with, emotion being the single biggest offender.

P411 exists for this type of verification, and most who screen with more than just a deposit still won't accept it as screening because clients have found a way to gain the system.

Yall can harp about screening and deposits all you want, it isn't going to change things because for each of you there's dozens of client who will. My trip to Toronto was announced 3 days ago and I already have 5 deposits, 2 of whom are terb members 🤷🏽‍♀️

Even ignoring feels, most people in Business are not too keen to help their customers go to their competition. They know it happens but to ask for help...

Is this a third party that has your verified personal information?
How can they be trusted?
Couldn’t they be hacked?

How did you have relationships ruined by asking for a reference?
I'm kind of selective about who I see... As such I try to form a bond when I meet someone special... but 'variety is the spice of life' as they say.
I guess if I simply showed up and vanished this wouldn't be the case, but I like to book for a few hours, share a glass of wine... frankly I try to connect to a person and don't go into this like f*cking a gumball machine. Sometimes I just want to hang out... So I can see why a hostess might be upset that I want a reference. It's totally my fault for trying to form a fun relationship.

Actually I used to get upset when people canceled as I literally book a day around these things, then I started putting the canceled funds into my tfsa and gambling the market with it... I think Saige from Roomates added about 100k to my investments by not showing up for work lol
