Never been to St Maarten in the Caribbean before, looks attractive. We were thinking of going in Feb.

Was reading on line that there are many types of massage available and most with happy ending.

Anyone have any experience there ?

Thx

I absolutely adore St. Maarten, only been there once a few years ago.. I stayed close to Grand Case, the food there was phenomenal.. That said I didn't hobby there so know nothing about that aspect. There is a great restaurant run by two brothers that is great, fresh live lobsters out front to pick from that they'll prepare for you and Loterie Farm was a fantastic spot as well - there's a restaurant up there as well as zip lining. Rent a car and beach hop all day.

Ive gone there for the last two years for the Heineken regatta, five days of sails boat racing and partying. The Island is fantastic especially on the french side .

Don't miss the French side. A short drive or taxi ride from the Dutch side.

Much less honky-tonk, more "St. Tropez, south of France" feel.

If you want fs then you might like Seamans Club or Le Petit Chateau, could also try El Capitan, Club Carolina and Casa Blanca

A word of advice - if you see a lady you would like to be with - make sure to have a drink and chat a bit before you go back to the room - almost guaranteed bad service if you don't.

Le Petit Chateau is at the Salt Pond. If you take the back road from the Salt Pond toward the Zoo you pass both Crystal and Caroline's and Seamans' Club is at the main road (on the left) where the back road ends in intersection. If you keep going straight toward Oyster Bay you will see 3 casas on your right up the hill, Casa Blanca (The Border Bar) being last after Defiance and another smaller place. There are a couple more in P'burg proper but not worth the time. It'll take 3 hours and 4 or 5 Carib's (Le Petit Chateau had $2 Red Stripes on my last trip) to meet about 250 Chicas from all over the Caribbean and Latin America. Casa Blanca and Crystals are all Dominicanas and most haven't worked the casas back home. They are carefully screened.

The Strp Clubs (esp. Platinum) are fun too and a great place to work up a lather before going to the casas.

Saint Martin is an island in the northeast Caribbean, approximately 300 km east of Puerto Rico. The 87-square-kilometre island is divided roughly 60/40 between France and the Kingdom of the Netherlands; the two parts are roughly equal in population. It is the smallest inhabited sea island divided between two nations. The division dates to 1648. The southern Dutch part comprises Sint Maarten and is one of four constituent countries that form the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The northern French part comprises the Collectivité de Saint-Martin and is an overseas collectivity of France.

is there customs stations between the islands or can you roam freely

what about laws between the two halfs

it is unique - a small island divided up by two European countries - the politics must confusing

Best of my knowledge no border control between the two sides, only road signs. However seat belt and cell phone while driving laws are more strict on the French side.

No border patrols. Doesn't really feel like much of a difference between the sides when you drive through it. The French part is a full part of France. They like Euros. The Dutch part is its own country pretty much. They like US dollars. The brothels are a bit 'scuzzy'. Do not recommend.

Exnocomment already posted what I was going to say. Read 10-20 pages and you should get a good idea of what's happening. I posted on page 5/6. When I was there Carolina's and Hypnotic (ex-Seaman's) were the best (changes all depending on the ladies). Bada Bing probably had the best looking girls but I believe 2x the price.

It's a beautiful place. I was there about twenty years ago with my wife so I didn't get to try any of the fun places, unfortunately.
I went to St. Maarten with my future wife about 25 years ago (and her mom, lol - I didn't care about the extra company as I needed to take a vacation, but we had our private time), and I would've never have gone to such places.

It is a beautiful island where you can enjoy the French side and the Dutch side.

Went to one of the classiest and most romantic restaurants in my life called La Samanna on the French Side with a view of the ocean.

We had caviar too. Could've been out of scene from a James Bond flick.

^ La Samana is one of the most well known and expensive resorts on the French side. That said, St Maarten is a nice but not incredibly upscale island compared to its neighbour St. Bart's. I loved the French side, such a great atmosphere.. I should go back again soon!

I've always wanted to rent one of the beach side villas but most of them are too large unless going in a group of 6 or more. Lovely beaches though and my initial reason for going was that Grand Case (town on the French side) is arguably the food capital of the Caribbean
