for SP's, both independent or part of an agency...as this is a relatively new concept for me...and if anyone can shed some light on this would be great.

but has any SP's given you their personal phone numbers outside of the one used to contact them and asked you to call them after working hours? i am just wondering if this is common at all and the motivations behind it. ie. establishing a client-base beneath the radar of the agency? and if so wouldnt this be risky? i wouldnt fathom the idea that its about getting personal.

They view you as a potential regular customer, most likely, in the case of an independent. In the case of an agency they are trying to dodge paying the agency fees.

Yes to create a client base, because they move around, also if they like you, may want you to visit on a regular basis:D

Something we keep to ourselves as as not to get the ladies in trouble with their agency. Similar to getting a little extra service from what is the norm for an SP . A gentlemen keeps these things to himself.

definitely agreed, we should all be gentlemans to our ladies...but now the question becomes...if you want to see said SP, would u then call her on her personal number and set up an off-hours date to bypass the agency altogether or continue to agency her?

hmm, i guess a quick call to her would easily figure out her preference:rolleyes:

That happened to me once with "Star" , gave me her personal cell number and real name....She asked me if we could get together "just for fun"...And I give her "$100.00, whatever"........
I said OK, 1 week later I called her, and she never returned my calls, so I deleted her number from my cell and forgot about it.
This happened a little over a year ago.

Here is a clue for the clueless:

An escort agency is not a dating service.
But it is more fun when it sometimes is...:D

An SP gave me her home telephone number and her real name. It wasn't anything personal, just business. She wanted to see me outside the agency and offered me a reduced rate, which I gladly accepted. :)

O

OnTheWayOut

I've gotten a few #s from SPs, in all cases except 2 it was so I could keep in touch when they changed jobs. One exception was from an Indy who has become a very good friend who I take for dinner often and to go shopping, etc. The other exception defies explanation *lol*

Don't get too excited- many girls have several phones and use one exclusively for work, one exclusively for personal and one as a crossover so they can give you their "home" number.

Yes, every SP I've seen had two phones, one for work and one for personal/friends/family. If you get the personal number, you are more than a client. If you only get the work number, then you are a good client.

I have been given an SP's home # on a few occasions. In most cases they have turned out to become friends of mine.
I've had a few too and some have been very detrimental to my wallet.

As for agencies becoming dating services. I said to one who was talking like she wanted me over and above the "professional" side of things that "one cannot change where they meet someone they connect with. A real connecton between two people is often very rare and no matter what, should never be overlooked.

I said to her: if nothing else you'd never have to worry about me finding out what you did lol....

.
This is very true, and it's often especially comforting for a woman in the biz to date a man who sees nothing at all wrong with what she does and can look beyond dollars and sense and get to know the real person inside.

I have had probably three or four relationships with SP's and they have always been really great women who have become long term friends. You can often make deep connections with someone in the most superficial of circumstances. It's entirely about how you treat each moment.

Making you think you are "more than a client" is part of the job so don't be taken in too easily. You will know when you are more than a client--she will refuse any further bookings from you. Some people think they are more than a client because the SP sees them "off the clock" now and then. Some people are stupid.

If you are paying you are a client and there is no such thing as "off the clock", you're just seen as a good enough customer that you're getting a bulk rate. Nothing wrong with getting a bulk rate--but you don't have to fool yourself.

If she wants a personal relationship with you she will cut out the business angles completely.

And some people are arrogant.

I think when an sp intro's you to their daughter that's a pretty good indication that you've gone past the "client" part.....
