I do not know for certain...

Check to see if that state has a reciprocal agreement with Ontario, most do. If so then a conviction there shows as points here and all the ramifications that entails.
....but i would not think "most do". I'd think it would be limited to bordering states.

I can say for all but a bet my life fact that Ontario and Illinois do not.

F*ck paying THAT ticket.
Contact a local ambulance chaser (especially if its going to effect your licence here - points are points)
Or contact the D.A.'s office directly.
They don't care about the points - try to negotiate the speeding tickets to PARKING tickets - if your fine is a hundred bucks they'll go to the next number up.
I got nabbed in New York - a 4 pointer - and talked them out of speeding and instead got 3 parking tickets - so it cost me an extra 25 or 30 bucks - but NO POINTS.

...works that way.

Yes, you can do that in New York. I have done it.

No, you absolutely CANNOT do that in Illinois.

Given that parking viloation revenue is not a big source of funding in WV (I would guess), I would not think you could do it in WV either...

If you wanna travel to the USA again--and not sure why :p --pay it, otherwise they can't touch you for a speeding ticket in Canada.

Which is why sometimes you need to post bond before you can drive off...BTW $300+ is very high for a 15 mph over speeding ticket..must be in Jerk County USA, lol

he has been ticketed in other states in the 1990's and no mention was ever made of his unpaid ticket.
1) Yes speed traps are a travesty

2) (My real point) most traffic related failures to appear, and failure to pay fine are not extraditable offenses (e.g. Ohio will not extradite you from Kansas) therefore the arrest warrant generally won’t show up on record checks outside of that state. But the day you return to Ohio and for whatever reason have your name "run" up will pop that arrest warrant . . . .

3) In the State of New York, parking tickets are considered motor vehicle violations and count for drivers license points. This is not so in most other U.S. States where they are considered municipal ordinance violations or civil infractions.

That stretch of highway is well known for its radar traps. The cops have great places to hide, but everyone who knows anything about that area always slow down to exactly the limit.

I've driven that route about 100 times and never once got stopped unless I was tired and needed to stay at a motel along the way. (did that once)

I did not pay a speeding ticket in North Dakota (a border state) and after about a year they sent me a notice that my driver's licence was suspended in North Dakota. Oh well. I have entered the US at least 300 times since then, including through North Dakota, with no issues. I would ask Canada Customs and US BA directly, whether they care. They may not, and as Federal agencies they won't sympathetically try to "protect" the state police. That is one bizarre conspiracy theory. You will get an honest answer.

I'd pay it. West Virginia is crazy. Many (but not all) parts of The South are nuts and I wouldn't mess with them.
