A couple of votes for Zeldin?? He ran against K. Hochul for NYS Gov and got whipped royally. So now he's the bottom of the barrel?

@mitchell76 and @Dutch Oven do both of you believe that death threats are a good strategy to secure a victory for Jordan?
Maybe all he has left. He has already kissed the Donald's ring (the sphincter one, I mean) and it didn't get him anointed. Looks like he's pretty well screwed...

Well, let's test your understanding of "difference", shall we? The differerence betwen 4 and 3 is 1, right?

Let's try another one. The difference between a peaceful protest and a peaceful protest with a handful of people committing misdemeanors would be a few charges on misdemeanors, right? Certainly no need to shoot and kill any protesters, was there?

Doesn't seem to have been the math on J6, does it?
Ok, so Dutch is on the record that there were nothing but a few misdemeanors on January 6th, 2021.

Mitchy, there's a difference between a peaceful protest - you know, free speech and all that? - and violent occupation where policemen are beaten and injured and the invaders shit in the halls and steal shit off the desks of the lawmakers.

You get that, right?..... Well, maybe not.
No they don't understand how Trump committing sexual assault is not the same as Joe sniffing a girls hair or how Trump refusing to give back top secret documents and lying about it is different than Joe giving back document immediately after he discovered he had them

Your reading comprehension is low. It was my point that Jordan had held his nose and voted for McCarthy. However, it seems like the entitled establishment wing of the GOP are incapable of that kind of compromise.
Compromise? The asshole Jordan conspired to overturn a fair election and lied his ass off. He should be expelled from the house along with the other Repuglican enemies of democracy.

The question is this: do you want a known traitor who comes across as Ernst Rohm to be Speaker of the House.

Maybe Lauren Boebort should be House Speaker, she could have fun with the gavel.

Ernst Rohm is the right comparison. This was how the nazis, despite being a minority party, took over government. They first intimidated the school boards and election boards, chasing away the honest and replace them with apparatchiks, then infiltrating the police to stop those investigations, then intimidating the legal system, then honest politicians, etc. Sounds familiar?

Republican plan to empower temporary speaker is 'dead' after 'dismal' meeting: reports (msn.com)

A plan by House Republicans to empower Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) as temporary speaker of the House was declared "dead" on Thursday.

Republicans considered it during a contentious conference meeting that lasted hours.

"The vibes coming out of the House GOP conference meeting – entering its third hour – are dismal," The New Republic's Grace Segers reported. "Rep. Vern Buchanan just told reporters that, 'reading the room,' a resolution to empower McHenry is 'dead.'"
Plan to empower interim speaker McHenry loses GOP support

CBS correspondent Scott McFarlane confirmed the report.

"Multiple House Republicans are telling us the resolution to temporarily empower Speaker Pro-Tem Patrick McHenry 'is dead.' Won't come to the floor for a vote," the reporter revealed. "Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) will plow ahead and try to change the minds of the 22 (so far) defectors."

"They're nowhere," he added.

So much "winning"!!!!!!
