I am getting 100+ spams everyday, any suggestion re an effective software to automatically screen/block these spams would be highly appreciated.
I was told that the "spam blockers" only work for a short while & after that, the user is back to square one. So the best, passive defence is to cancel the email address & register a new one.
Any comments on these statements?

Rather than a "block list" employ an "allow list" -- this way you only receive emails from approved senders.

Hi all,
I am happy to report that I purchased McAfee's "Spam Killer" on line & it has worked very well in blocking spam emails.
1. I bought thru www.mcafee.com & downloaded thru the internet.
2. It worked immediately, then some spams sneaked thru, I didn't understand why.
3. Then I found out that I could use McAfee's built-in blocker to block the "survivors" which were very few anyway.
4. Once the survivors were included in the "to block" list, no more spam emails.
