Looking for some feedback. Booked an appointment at a spa the day prior, upon arriving I was told there was a mistake with the schedule and someone got booked in before me. They said it will be a 10 minute wait. I hesitated at first but went ahead. Turns out to be 20 minutes of waiting before the MPA enters the room.
To me, it just sets a bad tone for the session. It turned out to be by far my worst session with this MPA that I routinely see. Its bothered me to the point where I am not interested in going back.
I find its not uncommon to wait for 5 minutes or so, almost seems to be the norm. I just felt 20 minutes was overboard.
Am I overreacting on not wanting to go back? Who would have taken the 10 minute bait as I did and who would have just left on the spot?

Sorry to hear about your experience. I know that I, too, would be very annoyed if I had showered and had to wait another 20 minutes wearing nothing but a towel. The prolonged waiting in expectation would be excruciating for me. And it probably would set a bad tone for my session. (I just know how impatient I can get when I have to wait for no apparent reason.)
If I were in your shoes, I probably would have exactly what you did... taken the 10 minute bait and hoped for the best. If I had already booked the appointment the day prior, I've been looking forward to it all day, so I couldn't bear the disappointment of having to walk out unsatisfied.

I can tell you that spas (both MP's and legit) do run into scheduling issues that they need to resolve. Sometimes delays cannot be predicted or prevented. You can only guess the reason for any delay.

In hindsight, if the receptionist told me about a scheduling mistake and said that it would be a 10minute wait, perhaps I might suggest that I wait in the lobby until she's almost ready, or perhaps I could be led to my room but wouldn't shower until I was told that she would be arriving shortly. Just a thought... I'm not sure if that would truly work.
I'd be interested in hearing others' opinions.

I hope that helps.

BTW, since you're posting in the Durham forum, did this occur at a Durham MP? I'd be interested in knowing where it happened.

I was recently in the same situation, except they were honest and let me know it would be 20 min. I just had a long shower and did some stretches in a towel while I waited. Not really a big deal to me. Unless you're in a hurry to get somewhere, just relax. We tend to live life to fast...slow down and think about how lucky we are just by being born in this country. Life could have a lot bigger problems than waiting for 20 minutes for a hot naked girl to come rub you all over.
Cheers

I like Alyosha's outlook. Life is definitely too short to get all bothered about a 20 minute wait for a hot naked girl to rub herself all over you. I will keep that in mind!

razor10: I've had good experience at Pickering Angels. To me, the reception staff is very professional and friendly. And I like the variety of the ladies. Don't let one bad experience stop you from going back to an otherwise good MP.

I agree with Alyosha. I enjoy the anticipation waiting for the girl to arrive. I hear the footsteps coming down the hall, there is a light knock on the door and there she is!
