An SP I see regularly has been getting a slew of fake bookings since March 15. A person created some TextPlus app numbers registered to the names John Doe, Kohn Doe, Russell J etc. When she refused a booking from a new number with the same user id, she started receiving multiple booking attempts from text app numbers from a different app (if users use the same app you can see their user ids but from a different app, you can't). After days of nothing but fake bookings she's at her wit's end. She will probably stop accepting bookings from anyone except regulars if it continues. I don't want to say her name but she is quite popular and well reviewed. Any advice I can forward to her? She says she's not feuding with any girls and that she hasn't had any bad experiences with clients that might lead to someone conducting a fake booking campaign against her.

Someone mentioned that text app numbers will be registered to certain companies. She can do a reverse lookup to find out what provider is returned. Will potentially mean blocking some legit people using a text app. Why some providers indicate no text apps.

I use text apps and i am sure many others do as well, mostly for privacy. If you start excluding text apps numbers, you will miss a good chunk of legit customers.
There are dbags using regular phone numbers as well. It's a tough call, I would tell your SP to only see regulars for now and this shall pass. Some people just have way too much time on their hands.

Her best bet would be to have a strict confirmation process, that cuts out fake bookings and time wasters dramatically, and to possibly have them call for the address, so at least she can start to recognize the voice of its the same person doing it.
think the best way is to stick with regulars until this passes....as mentioned some people just like to stir the shit for no good reason...but fake bookers are a thing, just like bait and switch is a thing....sad state of affairs really. Why can't people just be honest and respectful and not try to harm your fellow brother or sister....??? but what am i saying, this is an industry that is littered with ill intended people...how naive of me....lol

File a complaint with the police. State that the person threatened to kill you.... that should work. Charges will be laid!!!!

as a temporary solution she should stop accepting booking from text apps until this guy gets bored and moves on to something else.

Yup. I agree. And some are just so demented that they will get fixated on something else when they stop getting a reaction. Advise the SP that the idiot has a psychological problem but is probably a harmless loser.

Maybe ask for an 'active and contributing' Terb or twitter handle.
Use something she could at least verify however limited it is. Or use references.
Or stop accepting phone bookings. (at least for a while)
Initial contact always thru e-mails. Only if the inquiring e-mail seems like it's from a decent guy does she write replies to.
Phone number only once everything checks out and meeting is about to go down.

Best practices! They apply everywhere in communications, makes no difference what the profession is. Yes, you can start a conversation via text messages but you need to finish it on the phone talking to a real person. Also, never give your address via text, only talking on the phone, again, to a real person. Its interesting how communications have evolved with text messages. But it seems to me people haven't evolved, still idiots out there. So, tell the lady you know that its ok to start a booking via text messages but you need to say "call me to continue" at some point in time. This way you filter out the fake ones. Also, another idea is to ask a friend to do the bookings for you. Even though that may not be too ideal for completely independent girls, like the girl you describe, it takes away the stress associated with doing her own bookings. One way or another, it may be half the story here. Hope she figures it out and stays safe.

I agree solo. A MP recently asked me to show my ID upon arrival (our first meet) but I politely told her she was the 1st to ask me to do so and I was not about to oblige. There is absolutely no reason why I should.
It just so happens there is a coffee shop in front of the place we wanted to meet so we agreed to meet in the coffee shop first and long story short, she told me I restored her faith in humanity and we will leave at that
If you were a SP, put yourself in the customer's shoe: How would you feel if some guys ask to see your ID? I don't think you want to show a stranger your full legal name and address and I don't blame you 1 bit for that.
+1, anyone agreeing to provide a scan of their ID is taking a pretty significant risk. Remember that the with Bill C 36 that all clients are commiting a criminal offence (and no, I do not need a lecture on how many convictions have happened since C 36 was approved), so a paper trail of your real name is a major risk. Not that the providers are not trustworthy, on the contrary, an SP's business model requires trust, but there are risks about emails being hacked (remember Yahoo?) or other ways that the information can be inadvertently divulged (lost phone, angy/jealous BF, etc.), if there are clients agreeing to this they may not understand the risk they are putting themselves in. Thankfully wonderful providers like Delilah have multiple screening methods.
Also...I have found many providers are also using Texting Apps for communications.
To be honest, I use a text app with girls I am unfamiliar with too and only provide my real number when the level of trust has been acquired. For some reason, with this particular girl, I started exchanging message from my real phone and had her text me her schedule before we even met. That was because she already had a good online reputation. But remember, the girl is inviting a man into her home or workplace. And most hobbyists want independent girls, which means no security person hiding in the closet. So if you expect her to trust you enough to let you in, you have to give her more information than she gives you.
Sure...I have no problem providing more information than I get back...but never a ID card!
It's just the case of compatibility. She wants more info and you do not wish to give. Move on to the next provider, simple as that. No need to linger and complicate things. Some people (don't know who) have too much idle time on their hands and start ranting and fake booking because of simple resolvable issues.
