There was a piece on CBC about "earworms" and one of the participants was the British guy who was cut free by his climbing partner (movie based on their story "Into the Void"). He said that at one point when he was struggling for survival, he realized he had Boney M's version of "By the River of Babylon" going through his head. He couldn't stop it and it infuriated him. He said it gave him resolve because, as he put it, "Damned if I was going to die with THAT bloody song rattling around in my head"
