I have heard Pitfield quite a few times on the Q107 morning show. She speaks clearly and makes sense, on that point alone she will have trouble relating to Toronto voters. Toronto votrs seem to take corruption and doublespeak instride and vote for the bastards anyway.

Oh well, Good Luck to her.

what has miller done since he got into office? tried to shut down MPs, and that's about it! with all the homelessness and other issues i would have thought a socialist mayor would be in his glory right now. i guess it's more fun to go to big lunches and play hockey with the leafs.

f*ckin' champagne socialists!

Miller

Miller may not be the 2nd coming of Christ to the political scene, but do we forget our last Mayor-Lastman. Lastman was a real winner....Toronto was the laughing stock of the world under Lastman

Miller is a Lawyer. As such he is a master of retroactive renegotiation. Because of this he is always in a pissing match with someone. Renegotiating the Island Bridge, Renegotiating the Garbage Hauling contract, etc. The guy is constantly trying to screw people by renegotiating ongoing contracts.

I don't know why people elect lawyers to run governments. They have never run anything themselves, they never make decisions. They are masters of ambivalence, there favorite past time is to try to do nothing while burning up as much of your money as they can. How can anybody take a profession seriously that allows massive rewards for screwups, (They call them appeals). How would you like to get a "Do over" in your line of work every time you screwup while being handsomely rewarded throughout the process?

To those lawyers who repressent their clients efficiently and effectively with a minimum hit to their pockets and do not try to scoop a percentage of a judgement after already being payed for all services rendered. A huge Thankyou.

The question is if Miller gets voted out, who is a worthy replacement?

That would just make him a martyer. He just deserves to be defeated, then pushed in a big puddle of mud in front of a group of pretty girls.

That would be Blaine, about as annoying as that Shawn from Spence diamonds you hear on Q107. I say we execute both, slowly.

Don't you mean "Thawn" from "Thpence"

As far a Miller goes, he's ok. Barely. I am no NDPer, that's for sure. But Miller's known to be an honest guy. I saw him stand up to greedy contractors in the previous council when they were letting the contract for the National Trade Centre. I think it was Ellis Don, but I could be wrong, who made a motion before council that they had been screwed over because their bid was not accepted. Anyway, Miller was the only councillor who had the balls to stand up to their Bullshit. And believe me, it was bullshit.

As far as the Island Airport bridge goes, I agree with him there too. A complete waste of money and furthermore, unnecessary.

As far as I am concerned they can close the whole damn airport down completely and make it into a park. I'd be happy. Toronto needs an Island airport like we need a hole in the head.
