I wonder if that was the cause of the Toronto and Montreal Bell internet blackouts this morning?
Nope, just the usual suspect: router firmware upgrade glitches.
I am a ham radio operator, and there was a lot of noise.
But unusually long propagation paths on some frequencies.
As different layers of our atmosphere got ionized more than usual by the streaming plasma from the solar flares.
I heard a station calling with a Mexican call sign on the 10m band.
It faded before I could call back.
That band usually only propagates for a few thousand km 4-5 times a year.
And those times are usally when meteor showers are happening.
