Hi guys. I've been looking to switch jobs over the past month and a half, but haven't really been getting responses. Most people I talk to say my resume looks good and not much I can change, but still don't getany replies. Cold emails and messages also don't really work. Mainly looking for junior software positions, but it's a really saturates market ATM.
I already have a job, with multiple internships and a contract, before it (relatively young member here), but my current job I spend close to 70-80 hours a week at due to its nature as a foreign startup that's allowing wfh. So really hoping to switch over to a company in Canada/NA that offers better work-life balance. I'm a Canadian citizen if visa is a issue. I'm mainly working with Java as my main language (BE oriented) with some other languages for scripting. But have worked with AWS, JavaScript/Typescript, and Python previously as well. I'm happy to share more details through DMs of anyone is interested in helping out. The board might not be the best place to ask, but thought I'd give it a try! No rush as I'm doing well in my current position, but just looking to get out.
