Thankfully I was able to avoid the family genes for addiction.

In my 20's it was too easy to find a party, especially around playing sports so I did make the decision to take a break a couple times and it was good in many ways.

I’ve never understood why people say that. Beer tastes great and has typically lead to fantastic and memorable times....

The negative I’ve found is that it creeps into your life as a regular thing. It is no different than someone that slams coffee or guzzles pop or stares at their iPhone every 30 seconds. I can easily avoid those.

I just came off steroids in September after being on for 4 years, so in that regard I'll be sober..I'm aiming to stay off until the beginning of 2021.
This was honestly a big deal for me and something I was thinking about for a while.
