I do not think they will be able to get powdered booze to taste just right to equal regular booze, If you want to smuggle booze on to a cruise ship, here is a video on how to do it.
I think they embed the alcohol into lemon drops (or something similar.)
They made a movie about this: Lover Come Back, 1961. It ended with them selling the rights to the liquor conglomerates, who wanted the product off the market to preserve their monopoly. I wonder if the same thing will happen in real life?

That's awesome, not that we'll ever go on a cruise ship but we used to always take a 500ml water bottle filled with vodka on planes. 911 screwed that up that plan.
Not sure if I'd want to pack a baggie full of Palcohol in my carry on though. lol
