Never even taken a drag on a cigarette.

Probably because my father was a walking chimney as I was growing up. Smoked in the car (full of kids), smoked in the house (all the time), smoked mowing the lawn, smoked at parties, smoked after dinner, smoked between courses at a restaurant, smoked at work, smoked when he woke up in the middle of the night.

Turned me off at a very very young age and I never even had the slighest of slight urges to try it out.

My father quit after 50 years of hard core smoking and died of lung cancer 10 years later. It's a very hard way to die, I can assure you.

I hate cancer stick so much I won't even date a woman who smokes. Unfortunately, so many women smoke. It's such a nasty, disgusting habit I can't see why anyone would start.

Been there, done that. Smoked a 25-pack (+ more) a day for 35 years. Quit nearly two years ago. It's funny but I don't even miss it now, except when they put those 'cravings' commercials for Nicorette on TV - and I never liked Nicorette.

Love cigars - can't take the chance. Previous attempts at quitting ended when I started 'just one' cigar...

Yes, that is true. I clicked the never touch the stuff (thinking I will never touch it again...), then realized that the "Former Smoker" choice was in fact more accurate.

You did good. If you have been off the crap for 10 years, you receive a full pardon so you are free to click on the "never touch the crap" option. Also, if you touched the stuff as a minor, it doesn't count because you were a minor.

Never smoke but that doesn't mean I cannot take advantage/get addicted to the fat dividends received from owning tobacco companies while trying to accumulate your retirement funds.

All levels of governments admit or not are equally addicted to the excise taxes on cigarettes.

BTW, you should be skeptical when President Obama tries to act tough on tobacco companies while he's still smoking a pack a day

I think I was one of the few people that smoked because I enjoyed it.

Sounds like my ex-boss. She said exactly the same thing when my ex-coworker asked her to quit.

Can I change my vote then. Smoked as a "dumb kid", then occasionally when fairly drunk. One or two a year.

Put down as an ex-smoker since I smoked for 2 years.

Luckily never did get addicted, not the right personality type for frequent addiction. Even hobbying goes into long lapses. (like right now)

I like cigarettes, but usually only have a couple on the weekend if I'm drinking or smoking weed. Its such a nice sensation when you're drunk or stoned.

I don't smoke at all. For some reason smoking never appealed to me.

Not surprised at all Rock... Smokers are without a doubt in the minority now-a-days. Everyone knows the dangers of smoking and most people still smoking would likely quit if they could.

Further more, I think the National average is in the neighbourhood of 21-22% isn't it...

For some strange reason, I always thought of TERBIEs as being a subset of the human species and not prone to "normal" social behaviour since all or almost all of us are sexual deviants. Hey, maybe we are the normal ones and everybody else is weird. Are we at 100 votes yet?
