"... all talk is just that - talk. And we all know what talk is worth."
"... just politics and sadly more hype..."
"overrated"
"Lindros, Samsonov, Spezza, Bouwmeester... Even Daniel Cleary."
"Alexadre Daigle"
"Lindros was over hyped beyond belief as the second coming and he wasn't even in Messier's league... Crosby will suffer the same fate."
"... he won't be such a dominant force in the NHL."
"... sold/good but unspectacular NHL player."

And my personal fave...

"Phil Kessel will be a better player."

Well, it's been just over a year since this thread started and while it is still very early to call... it is nice to be able to put the "I" in place for "I told you so." Every year at this time, I'll throw in another letter.:p

And while many of you might come up with a multitude of excuses, you have to admit that after a year in the league... some of you are looking pretty, damn foolish. And in my best Billy Crystal "Fernando" voice... "You know who you are..."

Nice...!!

agree here...

and yet, crosby gets alot more media attention than either thorton or nash did at his age...

I also agree that Phil Kessel is a better player than Crosby.
Sorry... I just wanted to correct my personal fave comment. I thought it was "will be", but #21 actually wrote "is a better player."

That's gotta hurt...

Crosby was close to being the hero today in OT...instead he had one too many moves when the MTL player closed the door with his skate to turn it over on a 2-1 for the winning goal. He gambled & lost but it was exciting to see him with the puck in the Habs end. Sid the Kid could be the reason hockey stays in Pittsburgh.
