What they fail to realize is each one of those beds requires a team of highly specialized nurses. And they're in limited supply as the beds are filling up day by day. The situation is not good.

I think it's completely asinine that their moving patients to Sick Kids. How fucking stupid are the people running our health care system? Don't contaminate every hospital & clinic in the GTA with Covid patients & stop life saving medical procedures for everybody in the gawd damn province FFS! Designate the biggest hospital in the East end & the biggest one in the West end for people with Covid, don't fuck up the rest this isn't rocket science. Let the rest go on as normal this is absolutely ridiculous to see this going on for over a year while people are waiting on life saving operations & treatments. If these idiots running the health care were Generals in a War we'd all be fucking dead! If there was overflow...lets make use of a field hospital...wait that would be too logical

I read the article bud but let me tell you something the amount of deaths from people that are missing surgeries & treatments far outway the number of covid patients in hospital. And I'm no doctor but the treatment Covid patients are getting is basically respiratory therapy & life support in some stages...I get the need for the ICU but there's no reason every hospital in Ontario should be cancelling surgeries & procedures. Fucking stupid beyond stupid! Any decent size city or region, make your 1 or 2 biggest hospitals your Covid hospitals the rest carry on as normal. You don't need level 3 trauma center doctors that are use to car wrecks, gun shots & emergency surgery for Covid patients. If they are short any ICU docs or nurses the military has hundreds of them as well as from every other part of the province. Thank Christ this virus isn't as deadly as Ebola or Sars the fukkin idiots we have in charge would be filling up every hospital!

And what support do you have for that claim?

Of course there are consequences but our whole medical system is based on triaging, they will prevent someone from dying today over the potential someone may die later on.
