A man has been seriously injured after being shot outside a building in Scarborough Monday afternoon.

Toronto police were called to the area of Kingston and Galloway roads, south of Lawrence Avenue East, around 2:45 p.m.

When officers arrived, they located a victim with serious injuries but non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.


Police say a man was seen running through a parking lot.

The suspect is described as a Black male and stands at five-foot-seven. He was wearing a blue hoodie, white t-shirt, black pants, black or white Nike shoes and a blue puffy jacket. He had a black backpack.

“This area does have a number of cameras that we are going through. And hopefully, the suspect was captured on those cameras, and we can actually go through and get a detailed suspect description,” Insp. Ishmail Musah said.

“And also, maybe see a motive if there’s any kind of altercation that happened initially. We don’t know that yet.”

So what is the Jane strip? Rexdale? Or the rest of the west end where most of the gun violence happens?

I'm in Scarborough everyday. Never felt safer.

Galloway isn't even that active anymore. It's not even as bad as the southside of Scarborough. Aside from Drake's little buddies from "Reps Up," G-Way is pretty quiet. The war with Malvern ended years ago.

Sure, you do it only in response to the others and the others do it in response to your posts. Looks like if there is a lot of white fragility, there is also a lot of black fragility. Think twice if what you're doing is helpful to Blacks or anyone else .

I don't really post crime stuff anymore, unless it's political or unusual (like 94 year old who murdered his wife). AndrewX, Cantaro, Darts, Jerimander etc, haven't stopped their dogwhistles.

I've been here since 2002 and rarely I've engaged into politics. I tried to nicely explain that this game of going back and forth with the racism is not helpful and he calls me a right winger and a racist.
