Instead of a "way to go Shaq" type of comment some people are making fun of it...
It's not a "race card" it's fact my friend. Another enduring legacy of the OJ trial is the "race card" now get's questioned everytime someone brings up the bias in the media, and bias in any discussion. There is a distinct bias, and it's evident in things like this.zydeco said:I'd have to agree with ice_dog, I don't think that bringing up the race card was appropriate within the context of this thread.
Maybe I was being overly sensitive. I thought that this news deserved a better reaction than someone making idiotic fun of it...zydeco said:Sorry s&e - I don't buy it in this case, and IMO your over reacting given the context of this thread. I think ice_dog's comment had nothing to do with race and everything to do with the fact that were talking about one of the world's most famous athletes/people - who happens to be over 7 feet tall - going under-cover. I would'nt read too much into it.
Once again with emphasis.... I do not know you or anything about you, so I do not know whether it is typical of you or whether this is a case of bias against blacks..ice_dog said:If you see this as a case of stereo-typing against blacks, it is the way you see it. Better see your eye doctor right away.
