(Field of Dreams) is easy to find with Google. The hotel is Chica friendly, and cost $40.00 U.S./night. Billy a retired gentleman " Canadian Expat" is often there and will guide you in your research.
Other place that is a must visit is Black Beard in Costembar, ( about 25 min from Field of Dream) Cost of the rooms is afordable, at $55.00 US and more per night. Lots of girls of all size and shape hang there. Price are set at $40.00 U.S/per hour or $80.00 U.S/ for all nighter, usually 2 pops but can be more if the girl like you. March 2009 was my second year in a row that I was there, and still very satisfied. Other good thing is that they have on sight a MamaSita. If you have problem with a girl, you go see the Mamasita, who will usually find a solution to the problem. Personally never had to use her. (Black Beard is also easy to find on Google)
Other interesting place in DR is Sosua, if you are alone you won't make it to the end of most street without an offer for a massage. They also have nice disco where you can be picky and choose, however the price will have to be negotiated, and you can encounter a lot of Y.M.M.V.

Viking has been repossed since last fall, now reopened under Field of Dreams, which is a Chica friendly hotel, right on the other side of the Playa Dorada. I would check into the Viking situation. I am on their mailing list (I went there a few years ago) and I still receive info from them. Also the website is still up. Lastly the Field of Dreams does not look like the type of resort the owners of Viking would be invloved in. Viking is very high end.

HEDO III is my 2nd home and I can't think of a WORSE place for a SINGLE GUY. You will spend the week "all dressed up with no place to go", I guarantee it. The couples are looking for other couples or the ever elusive SINGLE girl and the single girls (all TWO of them) are looking for each other. The ONLY time we found single girls in any significant numbers was when PLAYBOY was doing contests and promotions there .... and they were all MODELS ... yeah, "Average Joe's" gonna get some play from them !!

The thread I started has fallen off the radar and I did not want to start a new one.
