This question is a spin off from another thread. The sybian thread actually. What is the etiquette for sharing sex toys? Is it acceptable in a woman's mind, for a man to introduce a sex toy to the mix if it is not coming straight out of the box. And I am not talking nipple clamps or handcuffs. I mean a sybian or vibrator. Even if it has been properly sterilized or is used with a condom, I thought most would decline to use. Anyone out there have first hand experience with either pros or civilians on this issue? How do they react to this situation?

I, like many sp's, keep a bag full of toys. All of which have been shared. The catch is that they are cleaned, cleaned,cleaned again. Some go in the dish washer, others boiled, some soaked-depends on the toys. They are also ALWAYS double bagged (no matter who is using them.)
With that said I don't think I would use a toy that a client brought along that wasn't straight out of the box, unless I had time to do all the cleaning mentioned above and double bag.

Okay, so look at it from another angle, at least in terms of the sybian. Given the expense, and from a non-pro perspective, is it okay to bring a used sybian into a relationship. And in this situation, I don't think it is an issue of hygiene, as a condom can be used and it can also be cleaned and sterilized by the lady to her heart's content before use. I think it is an emotional issue, hauling out a machine that you have used to get other ladies off, and now it is being brought into another relationship. I expect the answer is still no, from the lady's perspective.
And really since, any toy can be used with a condom, it isn't really a hygiene issue, is it?

Another way of sharing a toy (such as in a duo) is to wrap it with the same thing we wrap up on FS (with an umbrella)!
My experience encompasses pretty much everything stated above. I went shopping with a girl in anticipation of a duo. We picked out a strap-on. Even out of the box, she used it with a condom.
The next time I had a duo (with different girls), I mentioned the use of a strap-on with my previous duo. I hadn't intended to (re)use it, but they asked me to bring it out. They didn't have any problem using it, with a condom, of course.

on my porno sets they always have toys available, but I never really jump to use them unless I reclean them myself. I always bring along my own toys because I have more security of where they have been and how they have been washed.
Even though the crew mght wash the toys before each set and have them in ziplock baggies I still paranoid of how they were really washed, so I make sure if there is a one there that I don't have my own personal collection I wash them myself, even some cases boiling them
but also becuase of knowing some toy mateirals I am allergic to and some toys just don't work for me from previously buying them myself and having them in my personal collection.
