I have gone a few times over the years & has always been a waste of time.
A flea market of sex shops with very few deals or interesting sights to see.
Save the admission price to spend it a a store direct.
If anyone does go, stop in at the NoMoreWetSpot booth and say hi! It's a waterproof sex blanket I invented lol. Makes a great give for your fav sp....
Be thankful you don't live in London. There was a sex show in London for 2 or 3 years but the anti sex brigade did so much wailing and gnashing of teeth that the organisers gave up it.
The ones in NYC did years ago. I went to one. They asked people if they wanted to join in. The female was pretty hot. They had an intermission (can you believe it). During intermission I convinced my self to join in and get a BJ. I somehow crossed out of the show area and would need to pay another $20 to get back in. I didn't pay $20 was hard to come by back then.
Went to the show last night, it was definitely much smaller than when I went 6-10 years ago. Back then they had REAL porn stars (saw Lexi Belle before she really blew up in fame), now they have amateurs like the MyFreeCams girls (who was hosting the event). Some young co-ed like cuties with laptops doing live shows from there. Naked News had a busty anchor there too which was good for a leer (non-nude).
What was nice was a few free and informative seminars on kink and various sex seminars, plus seeing some burlesque and also the gals from Muse making an appearance at their booth (Meghan Leopard whom I've met before, and Angel, who I now definitely need to meet on the table having seen her facially in person).

I have a free ticket to go from the cam model booths I am not even going. and I use to go almost every year.
from someone who use to go almost every year - Yeh save your money. if its about sex skill workshops you can always find them around the city. find out the speaker list and look them up for a later reference.

They have a website but at the show you can usually get it at a show rate/discount
that is pretty much the only reason I still go to shows. I can't stand the sex shops in the city so if I need something I buy them online or wait for an expo.

Sorry, no idea about the taking photos part. Angel was being swarmed by two firefighter male strippers and I couldn't get a word in edge-wise aside from asking her name so I could remember who to look for on my next Muse trip. Had a limited amount of time to engage them since I wasn't there alone and couldn't risk the civilian exposure.
