Either you are now denying sanity and saying the tunnel was not into Israel or you are agreeing with Hamas that Israel is really Palestinian land.

Instead of making excuses for Palestinian violence, why don't you try actually promoting peace?
The tunnel was in Gaza and not over a border.
Are you claiming that makes it in Israel?

By the way, I am promoting peace through supporting the application of law and full human rights to both sides.
I support BDS, as does 80% of Canadians, as a way of putting pressure on Israel to obey the law.

And in what form are you supporting peace?

Funny. You (and Hamas and Islamic Jihad) have already admitted that the tunnel was meant to attack Israelis.

And no, you are not promoting peace. You are justifying Hamas, Palestinian rejection of peace, and promotion of violence. If you really pro-peace you'd actually criticize the official anti-peace agenda of Hamas. You continually back a terrorist entity that massively abuses their own people while consistently attacking a country far closer to Canadian societal norms.

ps. If you knowingly have to lie to push your agenda, it's probably time to chose a new angle.

Seven Palestinians, including an Islamic Jihad commander and two members of Hamas, have been killed and nine others reportedly wounded after Israel blew up a tunnel leading into the country from Gaza.

The detonation of the tunnel, which travelled under the border fence near the southern city of Khan Younis, was disclosed by the Israeli military on Monday. The incident represents a rare recent flare-up along the tense border that has remained largely quiet since a 2014 war with Gaza’s Hamas rulers.

Ok, I'm in error, the tunnel was reportedly over the border.

However there still is no evidence that the tunnel is related to terrorism.
As Maan reports on the tunnels.
While the tunnels in Gaza are used by Hamas as a source of tax revenue and inflow of weapons, they also supply highly demanded necessities for Gazans -- who have been trapped under Israeli siege for a decade -- including food, medicine, and much-needed infrastructure materials.

The majority of the two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are sealed inside the coastal enclave due to the continuation of the military blockade imposed by Israel and upheld by Egypt on the southern border.
https://www.maannews.com/Content.aspx?id=779414

Its just as possible that the tunnel was being used for medicine or food that Israel regularly blocks from entrance into Gaza.
As the UN has noted, the blockade on Gaza is causing a humanitarian crisis.
https://www.timesofisrael.com/un-chief-calls-gaza-a-dramatic-humanitarian-crisis/

Do you have proof that this tunnel was used for terrorism instead of just for supplies blocked by Israel's war crime blockade?

Thus Israel had every right to destroy the tunnel and kill the militants inside of them.

And regardless of the intent of the terrorists in Islamic Jihad, you are still here promoting violence and military action instead of promoting peace.

p.s. As you well know, the tunnels discussed in maan are the tunnels into Egypt which Hamas uses to profiteer through the black market.

p.p.s. You are flat out lying when you claim that Israel doesn't let in food or medicine.

Israel has no right to enact the blockade.
Israel has no right to apartheid rule.
Israel has no right to 'targeted assassination' of those they occupy.

p.s. you are supporting war crimes

Israel has every right to control their own borders including destruction of attack tunnels built by a designated terrorist entity.

Your endorsement of terrorist attack tunnels makes it yet again obvious that you don't care about peace or human rights, you simply hate the fact Israel exists.

Consider that you can't even tell me where those borders are, I think this claim has some serious issues.
On top of that you continue to support inhumane treatment of civilians.

As the head of the UN said in the summer.
“I am deeply moved to be in Gaza today, unfortunately to witness one of the most dramatic humanitarian crises that I’ve seen in many years working as a humanitarian in the United Nations,” Guterres said.
https://www.timesofisrael.com/un-chief-calls-gaza-a-dramatic-humanitarian-crisis/

Its to the point where you get Haaretz publishing a call for international sanctions, because the government refuses to back away from apartheid.
There is an urgent need for a broad campaign on American and European campuses, and in EU institutions, against this apartheid. The Israeli public is an equally important target, and in the absence of an active opposition party, the social justice organizations must reach this audience.

I guess that means are incapable of criticizing Hamas or Islamic Jihad for continued violence and rejection of peace.

p.s. An op-ed in an extremely left wing Israeli paper is not only meaningless but also shows how open Israeli society is. Try writing an article criticizing the PA or Hamas in the West Bank or Gaza.

p.p.s. The Israeli government really appreciates you pushing subscriptions to an Israeli business and supporting Israel's tax base.

Back to your standard 'but Hamas .... but Islamic Jihad.....'?

By the way, the consensus government is now running Gaza.

And p.s. The Israeli press dropped to 112 in press freedom, while Palestinian media moves up.

p.p.s Some day I'll teach you how the internet works and how to read those articles for free.

p.p.p.s. Israel shot a German Rachel Corrie.

Yes, those terrorists entities that you continue to back.

BTW. Hamas vows to keep attacking Israel instead of negotiating peace.
“The weapons of the resistance are a red line that is non-debatable,” Khalil al-Hayya, deputy head of Hamas in Gaza, told a press conference, referring to the Qassam Brigades.

“These weapons will be moved to the West Bank to fight the occupation. It is our right to resist the occupation until it ends.”

You do realize they moved all the way up to 149 right? Once again, you criticize Israel when the Palestinians are far worse.

That doesn't describe terrorism, that describes their legitimate right to defend themselves from an illegal occupation.
Of course Israel could have settled the two state solution decades ago and ended the violence.

Either end the apartheid rule or give them back their country.
That's the only way to stop the violence.

Correct, at present the Palestinian media is worse.
But the trends are that they are getting better while Israel's press gets less free every year.

Good of you to admit something about Israel is better than the Palestinians. At this rate, it will only take another 20 years for you to admit that Palestinians attacking Israelis is worse than Israel arresting Palestinians who attack Israelis.

1) Hamas openly admits they consider all of Israel to be "occupied" so you are defending Palestinian attack on Israel.

2) Someone described as "pro-peace" would be critical of Hamas' decision to continue violence.

If Israel only arrested Palestinians I would cheer.
Instead they kill them.

There were 3000 dead Palestinians, 700 of whom were children who you claim 'attacked Israelis' and therefore deserve death.

At this rate you'll never admit that Israel regularly kills 10x times as many civilians as Palestinians.

I though you said the borders are in dispute?
You keep telling me you can't tell me where those borders are, so how can you be sure that its Israel?

2) Someone described as "pro-peace" would be critical of Hamas' decision to continue violence.
Hamas has since the 2014 slaughter of Gaza, for the most part, voluntarily held to a cease fire.
That deserves praise.

Israel on the other hand has killed 700 children since 2009.
That deserves criticism.

Sorry but Hamas are the ones who consider all of Israel occupied as a way to justify continued, pointless violence. Sadly frauds like you are happy to parrot their talking points while lying about being pro-peace.

First, that's untrue. There have been several Hamas attacks inside Israel since then. Second, only a fraud like you would praise a terrorist group for being slightly less terrorist.
