Sending care packages?

Okay so I really want to send a couple of care packages to the Canadian soldiers that are currently over seas.

I've tried googling to find out how and it says you have to send it addressed to a solider.

Why does it seem there are zillions of ways to send to American soldiers but trying to find a way to send to Canadian troops is impossible?

I've tried googling to find blogs, contact info etc and either I fail at google or it really isn't nearly as easy as it is for Americans.

Anyway does anyone know how you can do this?

I heard on the news today they don't want you to send packages because they can't get them over there. Apparently they are bumped for more important things like food, ammo etc. I think the problem is the one plane we we own is getting tired flying back and forth...perhaps we should invest in a second one...

Thank you!!!!! So since it says 'any solider' does this mean that sending signed posters and stuff would be a bad idea? LoL seeing as it might end up going to a female solider.

As for going to Victoria.. not sure when I will be that far west again. Im at odds with the agency out there right now lol. Plus im going to get my boobs done next week and then heading to Australia in January.

What you need to do is find the actual address information of one or two persons that are in theatre and work with them as your agent to distribute care packages. It is easy enough to find out which units are posted where (I think the DND web site will tell you) and then contact the regimental staff that are still here (ie. the Royal 22nd are from Quebec City or the PPCLI out west). If you work with the domestic regimental staff, they may be able to put you in contact with someone in theatre - I would reccommend the regimental chaplin for example.

I am associated with a cigar smokers group and this is how cigars are sent to troops overseas.
