Recently Ive been diagnosed with some mental health issues and had one my bros (one of those andrew tate kind of guys lol) tell me that I NEED to do semen retention to bring some energy back into my system and increase my confidence. Just wanted to see if anyone had some info about this, ive looked at a few podcasts but I’ve been hearing both sides. Theres some evidence that it can definitely bring you more energy and others say it can do more harm than good on a spiritual level as its something that won’t be beneficial if all your thinking about is wanting to jerk off after 3 days of abstinence 😂. I know this is the opposite of what we discuss usually but wanted to see if you guys have any insight.

Mate - mental health starts with the mind - go get help for that first - without a healthy brain we have nothing imho.

I've heard you need to release at least 21times a month to avoid prostate problems.

My advice would be to not think too much about it and focus on exercise. When you wake up do 10pushups and go about your day. If you need to jerk off jerk off, but don't give it importance just rub one out and go About your day.

As you continue to do the pushups it'll hopefully become a habit. Then add something else to it, maybe go for a jog or meditate. Over time you'll have no time to even thinking about jerking off or it'll just be a one off thing here and there.

But yes for mental health you need to do more than no fapping.

Not sure if it's 21 times, but when you feel the need to release you should do it. Keep your prostate happy!

I don't beleive that semen retention is actually that healthy for men. I was suffering from low energy and low libido a while ago as well. From talking to a few friends in the health industry the most important thing is daily exercise. They actually recommended that I have sex at least 1-2 times a week and if I wasn't doing that then at least masterbate once a week so I could get that release. Retaining semen actually has a negative effect on your prostate which could lead to other complications down the road

Just an average but regular release whenever you feel you need to should be good enough, as you say

I've struggled with my mental health all my life and have been diagnosed with PTSD. Semen retention is a BS scam made up by red pill losers that hate women.

I have been in therepy with a licensed psychotherapist for about a year and a half and it has literally saved my life. I cannot emphasize enough how much it has made me a better me.

FYI it's expensive. However, just last month a law was past so that therapy is no longer taxed so more people can afford the service. And in ontario it's a medical tax deductible.

If you've ever thought about talking to someone, please try it out.

And bust when you feel like it to keep that prostate healthy

If by semen you mean the mixture of sperm and cum... which one helps? Because for those with vasectomies all the sperm is retained and I don't hear any great health benefits from that. Think its bs.

I have BPH, enlarged prostate for many years and take a prescription drug, TAMSOLOSIN, which causes semen to stay in the bladder when ejaculating. I still feel when I am coming but I am dry as a bone. It is not fun.

Hey Eddie, at least you're experiencing orgasms. I'm a jealous guy...

Like some good mechanics say, keep your fluids clean. Go alll the way. In the old days, they could not flush your transmission fluid. You could have maybe 13 litres and they might change out only 4 or 5 litres with a fluid change. The Ford mechanic insisted it could not be done, but the Pit Stop already had a machine for it for a couple of years at that point. Is a prostate massage like a flush?

Sound frustrating.

The operation does the same thing. Just have to read with envy the reviews of guys sprayed their man juice all over the ladies' faces or down their gullets. Don't feel like I am getting my money's worth somehow. That's what you get from being a late starter. Anyway wasn't there a study a while ago that claimed not cleaning the pipes regularly could cause prostate problems? Seems common sense that getting an oil change on a regular basis is the thing to do.

EDIT
Yeah that's what I get for being 78. Mind you, I believe Eddie is even older, that lucky skunk!

On the other hand it's not that frustrating. If you think of an orgasm as being kind of a sneeze, with the "ahh, aahh, aaahh" build up, and then the "achooo" release, I don't even feel the "ahh, aahh, aaahh", so there is no frustrating build up that need to be released.

While I enjoy receiving bj's, I don't cum. What I enjoy most is giving oral, digits, and toy pleasure...

I wouldn't know, but there have been a few celebrities and musicians that have died from prostate cancer when in their 50s, such as Dan Fogelburg, Jesse Winchester and others. Apparently if younger men have prostate cancer the disease grows much faster than if men in their 70s and up and therefore they seem to survive longer. I also have a friend who had his prostate removed.

You could always go to a glory hole and get your fill of semen. I thought it was good for your prostate to blow loads.

I'd take anything that Prince "incel" says with a grain of salt.

Though, I have to admit, there's part of me that thinks it might be fun to do "No Nut November" then get together with a provider that offers CIM or COF on December 1. Or better yet, have a duo and have the two ladies do a cum swap.

Or, if I was in a relationship or married, give my girlfriend or wife a nice big creampie on December 1.

I don’t know if holding in your semen actually helps, all this bullshit made up by red pill losers on the internet. And the worst is a lot of men actually believe it. That somehow it will give you magical powers over women. I will say though, that during the periods where I was jerking off everyday, sometimes multiple times a day my energy was very low. This is due to a man’s hormone levels after he cums. The refractory phase for some men can last up to 48 hours so if you completely drain yourself, it may take up to two days till you feel “normal energy levels” again. For this reason I don’t jerk off or have sex every day, I find 2-3 times a week works best. A man’s hormonal cycle generally renews every 24 hours, and there’s been studies suggesting that testosterone peaks after a week of not ejaculating, so it’s actually pointless and counterintuitive to do semen retention for longer.

Please don’t believe all this made up crap, 30 day 60 day streaks dudes are talking about on YouTube and Reddit forms, it’s all just a bunch of BS for men that have nothing else to do with their lives.
