I heard a story on the radio last night that Avery and Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster are close friends. Dempster dressed in a Capt. America outfit with full mask so no one could recognize him. He sat where he could heckle Avery about everything under the sun. Avery was getting pissed big time and was yelling over the glass at Capt. America. After the game Dempster showed up in the Kings dressing room in full costume and I guess Avery bolted at him ready to tear a strip off him. Dempster pulled off the mask and Avery collapsed laughing. One more quick Dempster prank. He sat in floor seats at a Bulls game in full Bulls uniform (Kirk Heinricht..sp?) Everytime the buzzer went to sub someone in, Dempster stands up and starts stretching...lol. Too funny. Whats this got to do with the thread? Dunno, dont care.

Avery.....History

Just heard that Avery has been kicked off the team & he will not play the rest of the season. He is an unrestricted FA so he has played his last game for the Kings.

While still a factor the pest type player ie. Avery, Tyson Nash etc is less effective in the new NHL because they take stupid penalties that cost their team. It remains to be seen how they call infractions in the playoffs. As for Avery, when your teammates dislike you, you better be really good or onside with management. I can't believe he could be hitting it with Elisha Cuthbert. :(

people underestimate how good Sydney Crosby is at getting under people's skin. he is one pesty player that is well liked by his teammates...

Well, his teamates......sorry....previous teamates....lol....., had enough of him, that alone should tell you you don't want him on the Leafs.
