i am looking for a way to save what you see on the screen. I heard of a way to take a SNAPSHOT of the page and send it to my e-mail, but I forgot how to do it. Anyone know?

1 single snapshot... press Print Screen, open a Paint program and click Edit, then Paste then File -> Save As ... give it a title and save it.

or do you mean live video capture... I use a software program called Camtasia for that.

No need to buy or install free programs.

Hold the Alt key and Prnt Scrn buttons down to copy the screen into your buffer. Then paste it into your email editor.

Never tried it using Vista, but works in XP and earlier Microsoft OS editions.

Print Screen = whole screen
ALT + Print Screen = current window only

i do it all the time. press [shift] and [print screen] at the same time. this puts the screenshot into your clipboard (same as ctrl+c). you can then paste the image anywhere by pressing [ctrl] and [v] or right-clicking your mouse and hitting [paste].

It's cooler on a Mac, I wish I still had one.
You could take a full shot or outline the area of a screen you wanted to capture, you didn't have to crop it in an editing program.

Here's a page on how they do it.
http://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/~scc/web/screencapt.html#sectionmac

I remember you used to be able to capture as many as you wanted, it automatically labeled them 1, 2, 3 etc.
It made a *click* sound of a camera shutter, you knew when a picture had been taken.
