The new NAFTA and tariff issues with the US.

Then why has the divide between rich and poor gotten bigger?
Why is it now the highest its been since the great depression?
Not to forget: And what is the "fair share" that "the wealthy" should pay? And how does anyone you sort through all the sub-heads under "total tax revenues" to calculate it?

Suppose "the wealthy" earned 100% of the income received by all Canadians, wouldn't their 'fair' share of income tax revenue be 100%? What is the 'fair share' of 'sin' tax revenue from a non-smoker, non-drinker, non-carbon polluter? Are people who live abroad paying their 'fair share' of GST? If the wealthy buy big and pay mucho GST, does that reduce their 'fair share' of capital gains tax on investments?

The rich have always been able to dodge taxes under any party because they contribute to both parties to gain influence, this isn't a blue or red party issue.
